BTN is a typical 1/3 loose passive player. He has me covered.
SB has $43. He seems to be a TAG. But I’ve seen him three-bet all-in with QJo with around $60 in UTG+3 vs UTG raiser. The UTG raiser had raised before with 77 from UTG but all-in with QJo from UTG+3 still seemed spewy.
Anyways, I look down at Ah Th and make my normal raise with zero limpers: $15.
BTN says, “I know you have a good hand and I probably shouldn’t call. But... whatever, I call.” About 30 minutes ago, I told him that someone folded Kings against my preflop five-bet with Aces last week. He said he wasn’t surprised because I play so tight.
Anyways, he makes the call. My read on him is that he has a pretty weak hand.

I'm definitely isolating here. Im okay with either $100 or a jam depending on BTNs tenancies. For sure not flatting the $43 though, and definitely not folding.

SB goes all-in for $43. BB folds.
I call and BTN calls.
Yeah, I messed this one up. I was playing too fast and didn't really think through the situation. Shove is much better than calling.
ETA: As played I probably do a small cbet. It's still possible we're ahead of the protecting all-in but behind the Button who has a hand they'll consider folding (like a bigger Ax or perhaps even a small pair as our bet into a dry side pot is strong). Shouldn't be in this spot.

Flop ($132): 8c 5c 3s
I bet $75.
This is too spewy but luckily BTN has nothing. He snap-folds.
I show my hand and BTN is like, "Wow, you bet with nothing. I would've called if I had any pair." I'm not sure if I believe him. I think he folds 3s sometimes and maybe even 5s.
These type of Villains seem to see a big bet like $75 in raw dollar amounts and think I have a big hand. It's only when the pot is huge, like $200+ that they discount the strength of my hand.
