1/2 9-handed table.villian is very loose and overvalues hands a lot(roughly 80/20 vip/ip).Fishy villian($600) limps in mp,hero($300) raises to $15 in HJ,Bt calls,sb calls, villian 3 bets to $45,hero?Although villian is capable of raising with a wide range, its just the first time he l/r.Should i really give this guy credit for raising with a range like QQ+ and AK which JJ plays badly against?

Therein lies your answer.

Yes we give him credit.

Fold.

Yes, we give him credit. For me to dont give a big limp/reraise preflop credit i need evidence that this guy can pull this move off light. In my experience for live play, very few players are capable of that.

Its quite rare to see the limp/reraise in live poker, and when i see it its KK/AA 95 percent of the time. I love to use it myself with monsters some of the time, because players tend to not want to belive.

One of my rules in live poker: what you see is what you get. If he does this one time in a 8-10 hour session, we can pretty much take into account that he holds a monster- until we get proof otherwise.

Prolly fold. Set mining isn't terrible but folding is better

Also what's VIP/ip? Do you mean vpip/pfr?

Fold fold fold. This is exactly AA, KK, or AK a small percentage of the time. Set mining is probably bad unless you have a few callers in between.

Meh. Fold.
He might be doing this with worse. But when he is, we are not getting more money post. And when he's not, we tend to lose decent chunks of money on low flops.

Sucky but I think it's the right play.

Set mining IS awful. Op isn't playing nearly deep enough (even ignoring the probability he'd be able to get it all in even if he were). The implied odds just aren't there to justify such an expensive play if you're confident you're behind.

This really isn't that difficult a decision given Op's read of Villain. Against a maniac we have a much closer decision.

Limp-reraising w/ AA is the new black. Yeah, I'd fold unless I've seen him do this w/ worse. Watch a non-believer light money on fire by calling.

Not necessarily. I've seen people do this with 88 frequently. Once with 52o. Yep. It's still a fold. Players who do this a lot chronically leak money in between clever traps. I think you get a better ROI elsewhere.

Fold. No reason to get involved. Pick a better spot.
