New at the table, most people have around $200 stacks.

Hero is in CO with 89

Preflop:
5 limps, Hero limps, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: ($11): 87J
UTG bets $10, MP calls, Hero raises to $40, SB flat calls, 2 folds.

Turn: ($111): Q
SB checks, Hero???

SB started the hand with about $100. He just check cold called a re-raise for half his stack when he had 0 invested and the pot was still small. If there was an OESD possible on the flop I would shove because he might be bad enough to call an OESD there, but the only straight draws possible are gutshots and I don't think even he would call that much with just a gutshot. I just can't see what would cold call my huge bet on somewhat dry board that I beat. Or am I just seeing monsters under the bed?

8 9= bottom two on a 7 8 J Q board?
Well if you had 8 9 i would check because i couldn't imagine you being ahead let alone him folding better than what you have w/o a read. If you had 8 7 reads would be helpful. His play could easily be a flopped str8 just calling in hopes of another straggler. I think with a set or 2 pair he shoves considering he is so short and he doesn't want to get sucked out on. I think you are calling all non 9 10 j q river bets with 8 7 cause is see him having j 10/j9 alot.

I had 78 but couldn't edit it cuz I posted it at like 2am PST which is when the 2+2 site regularly goes down for some reason. As for reads I have no reads. FWIW there are way more combos of straights, sets, and higher two pairs than J9 or JT and most villains would play them all the same way I think.
