1/2nl AQs Did I miss a value bet?

Hero: $800; looks to be in his mid 20s I've got a good winning image. Showing down strong hands
V1: $80; mid to late 20s terrible player. Makes the most ******ed bluffs. completely clueless
V2: $170 early 50s, very loose/passie pf. I've seen him raise strong tp type hands cuz he holds his cards up so that I can see them. I don't see them in this particular hand.

v1 limps utg, mp limps, v2 limps hj, Hero raises AcQc from the co to 15, v1 calls, mp folds, v2 calls

Pot: 45
flop: Jh9c5s

v1 checks, v2 checks, I check

Pot: 45
Turn: Jh9c5s Ah
v1 bets 20, v2 raises to 55, hero calls, v1 calls

Thoughts on this call? v2 is capable of having AQ+ as well as Aces up. AQ kinda sucks on this board since AJ, A9, A5 l are all in these guys' hand ranges

Pot: 210
River: Jh9c6s Ah 5d

v1 and v2 check quickly, hero? v1 has almost no money back, and v2 has 80 to 100. In a recent hand v2 folded QJ on a A9xQ9 board when it checked thru to me otb 2x and I bet ott and potted otr when villain inadvertently flashed his hand so I assume not much worse is calling, maybe AT, A8? Also I'm not sure how often this guy is in "the pot is big enough I'm gonna check back my 2 perrs" mode. Had I not seen v2 fold QJ I'd insta ship.

I like the just call on the turn, I think the fact that it has been checked to you on the river represents weakness. I think v1 missed his straight draw, v2 could have a worse Ace or like you said he could have two pair. I think you should ship because only the nittiest of nits folds his aces OTR with a SPR that favourable.

I can absolutely see why you would be cautious about shipping though.

V2 has about $100 left into a $210 pot....on this type of board, if he has 2 pair then definitely would believe him to be betting on the river. Would expect Ax to show up and a busted draw. You're ahead of both of their ranges....shove.

Re: 1/2nl AQs Did I miss a value bet?

Meh. Given description, V2 almost certainly has at least an A when he raises turn. I'm prob checking river because 2 pair hands are more common w an A on board when villains at these stakes will play so many Ax hands. He might be worried you have AJ when you overcalled the bet/raise on turn and he's checking his smaller 2 pair. I think the only time you get a call for another $80-100 is when he has exactly AT or has 2 pair and there are more combos of 2 pair than there are of specifically AT...

...and I think the rest of the time he calls, you're value betting his hand for him.

Btw, title of thread implies that you won hand so that may influence advice...

Im just checking behind. Cant come up with anything worse that is calling us.

If were calling on the turn were trying to get to sd as cheap as possible if we are trying to play a big pot we should ship the turn

I find it highly unlikely that either V is checking 2 pair OTR. I like your line OP, although an argument could be made for just B/Cing $50.

So, is this a turn flat call, always? I see merit in both folding, and shoving(!)...

Given the stack sizes, I would not fold the turn. I'd either call to see the river on the cheap or shove because of the heart draw.

When a loose passive that isn't a spazztard raises turn, I'm basically done here. I miiiiight contemplate a call with AK but AQ on an AJ9 board? NO THANK YOU.

Re: 1/2nl AQs Did I miss a value bet?

v1 ended up showing a fd, and v2 showed down A2 and aq was good. I had a really bad downswing followed up by a move and getting sick so I feel a bit gun shy in spots where I should probably be value betting, I'm just not sure this is one of those hands. thx guys.

LOL at V1 calling the re-raise with a runner/runner draw.

Re: 1/2nl AQs Did I miss a value bet?

V2 description sucks so I have no idea whether I'd even call turn. Probably folding a decent amount to a passive player on this board.

With deeper stacks I cbet flop, maybe not always against these 2 but lots of good cards to barrel. With these stacks I like the check. As far as the river shove, v2 would have to be a pretty stationy for me to shove. River shove is pretty thin on this board
