Have been at the table for 15 mins. Know how about 4 players at the table play.

When I was waiting too play I saw that there was not too much action pre just some opens and calls, but a lot of flop action.

Villain 1. MP2 tag but have seen get out of line a few times in the past. Late 30s guy. Stack size $300

Villain 2.BTN. late 20sasian guy played with before, Lag - gets involved in a lot of pots pre. Don't know how often he calls 3-bets. Will call marginal hands on flop and sometimes turn. Stack size $600

Hero utg early 20s white guy. Not sure what people would think my table img is, as I've only been at table for 15 mins, not even sure if any of them are thinking about that. Stack $200

Hero utg AQo limps. (Prob first mistake)
Utg+1 limps
Mp1 limps
Mp 2/ villain 1 limps
BTN villain 2 makes it 12

Hero calls, I flat because of the heavy action on flop that I've seen so far.

Utg+1 calls
Mp1 calls
Mp2 calls

Flop Ah Jh Qc
Pot $63

Checks to villain 1 who bets 40
Villain 2 calls 40
Hero...

Mainly thought I played this very badly pre. Want to know how most people would have played this pre flop.

Yeah you really messed up pre. As played raise and get the money in the middle.

Pre, raise this hand. Fold > Limp. As played with the limp, you should raise/fold the button's open (ie 3bet his raise and fold if he 4bets)

I probably would have led out for around $40 myself. The fact that Villain 2 just called should indicate to you that you're ahead of him. I'd say Villain 1's range could be any 2 hearts, AK thru AT, and KT. This is a draw heavy board. As played, I'm shoving my top 2 pair. If someone flopped the nuts or a set, good for them. But there's no way you can afford to slowplay this hand. All-in.

I would raise preflop. If you limp I feel that it should be to l/rr. If your going to l/c might as well just raise.

Since there is a lot of flop action that's been taking place I agree with the flop check and given your stack size I'm probably just shoving here. Both to charge flush draws and get value from other two pairs or pairs w/ gutshot.

AQo is a terrible hand for open limping, it puts you to far to many hard decisions post flop. AQ I'm always raising when I open, probably going $15 at a 1/2 table in EP. Fold to a 3 bet without any reads on ranges. I would have lead top two on this flop, for $40/$50. Lots of hands are going to call one bet here, AK/KQ/QJ/JT/heart draws and possibly some others. Sets are somewhat unlikely given the action and your blocking AA/QQ, but V1 could have JJ.

As played, stack sizes make this awkward on flop. You are too shallow to raise and then fold top two here. I think it's a toss up between shoving now and flatting/shoving any safe turn(non-heart, and not a K/J/T). Which is best depends on villains and hero doesn't have much to go on yet.

PF mistake needs to be belabored. It is really bad and will get you into lots of trouble limp/calling with AQo UTG.

Open the pot. If BTN 3-bets pre I would probably fold AQo rather than play it OOP against a LAG with no initiative.

You probably should have led flop for value.

AP, I would just c/jam. Still for value. We are likely to have the best hand here and will get called by AJ, FD's, combo draws. V2 as the PFR is not flatting the donk bet on this board with a hand that beats you. Given PF action no one has a set.

Hm. The one solid exploitable read you have is on the BTN. If the one and only priority would be to get all of this guy's chips, would limping AQ UTG always be the wrong play?

I knew right away i played this hand terrible pre.
I think Ep I'm just gonna open with AQ,
How i played i feel i should have 3bet pre.
I did jam on the flop. villain 1 had K-10 top of his range, i was putting him on a lot of pair fd and sdfd kind of hands.

Would most of you open AJo utg and EP too?

AJ is really situational. In EP it is always one of those hands I open some of the time and fold some of the time. The tighter the table the more I open AJ in EP because I'm going to get fewer callers and can bet with more confidence when the flop has a jack and one over card. In terms of passive/aggressive, something in the middle is best, at passive tables fish will flat call with AQ/AK a lot while at aggressive tables you will be facing too many light raises that are hard to call with AJ. AJs looks better at deeper tables, where you can play it both as a reasonably strong ace and for suited value.
