New table 1/2 at Caesars Atlantic city. Good knows why I'm passing here...going to the Borgata shortly.

HERO Played a few hands, took them down OTF weigh no showdown. Showed a nut flush ace (in reality holding AJo).

UTG is classic donk. Stacked off a woman with 84o, floored bottom pair, rivered 4 card flush.

Hand:

UTG (375) bets 7
UTG +1 (100) flats
3 MPs flat
Hero (200) on the button makes it 23.
Blinds fold
UTG flats
UTG +1 shoves for 60 more.

Folds to Hero.
I tank, immediately call out AK? I think to myself, what flats 7, shoves to 23? QQ+...most likely this is aces.
I fold.

Uberdonk UTG calls (although with my fold it's an easy call).

Board comes: 678Q9

Donk talks K10 off, UTG +1 mucks, clearly devastated.

I'm pretty sure it's a clear case of axes, thoughts appreciated. Nobody feels good folding $23 Preflop raises.

I folded jacks because I wasn't going to shove them.

Flat/4-bet reps very little, unless V was sure someone would 3-bet for him. If the table has been very aggro, esp if there has been one chronic 3-bettor that V wants to "get," he has AA or KK here almost always.

If it has been a standard table, this is usually a medium PP that was happy to set mine, but then when the pot gets big he can't call anymore, so he decided to shove hoping for folds or to be flipping with the 3-bettor's "obvious AK" with dead money in the pot.

Either of these would likely be tilted to lose that showdown, the AA for getting called by crap and losing, and the medium PPs for hitting a set and losing.

Based on blockers (u have jj and other villain has k10) shorty probably doesn't have jj, kk, or 1010. Since he can't expect either of u to fold, he proably has a primium hand here like qq+ or ak, aq or maybe a medium pocket pair like 88

Ok. Sanity restored.

My immediate response was AK, to rationalize a call.

After thinking, it seemed obviously aces.

FWIW UTG +1 rebought, won the stack he louder from UTG without showdown. UTG has lost 4/5 his stack since.
