should I find a call here ?. have no real history with the villain who is a 50’ish lady who plays semi-regularly I believe. The villain check raises turn basically pot. This is indicative of a really strong hand. There are no flush draws so she is repping a made straight I think. Surely a lesser hand would either continue betting on the turn or check for pot control, the reraise is a weird line with a set given I could potentially have A5 or 56 in this spot ?? is this just a weird 1-2 spot where you have to reluctantly fold and find a better spot later?

she'll show up with a straight a fair bit but we have effectively top set. this would be a very tight fold. folding is probably fine. it's a soul read type spot. combinatorically because we block the 4, she has more combos of straights than sets/2p.

does your OP say that villain has deuces?

If u call the $50 the pot will become $153. So, u need 50/153 or 32.7% equity to call. The range above (MP2) shows u have 45.1%, even if she flopped straight. Please note that if she is loose (UTG), then another 12 combos (each) of A5/65 need to be added.

the problem with calling is we still have to see river and the money's going in if we want to see a showdown, so the equities are actually quite different.

yeah, the 2 reasons I didn't call were 1. I still faced a probable all-in river bet (not sure how this effects my equity) and 2. the unexpected check-raise on the turn- I did not think a player would take this line with a set ~ agree ?

but on balance this is 1-2 and people do not all sorts of stuff for reasons solely of their own. so for 80 BB I agree I should have called down.

You need to raise the flop. A, 5, 6 hurts your hand a ton, and your hand is extremely good. K changes nothing, this is a trivial all in.

Only a straight beats you. What makes you think she would take this line with a set but would only do it with the nuts?

Her flop bet size alone tells me Im never folding.

shuffle your whole cards in the air and say "you show if I fold?". and carefully observe the reaction

Calling or raising the flop is fine.

Never fold to that turn checkraise.

Call or push the turn. I prefer call.

If you call, call any river except fold to a push on a 5. Maybe fold on an ace, but probably not.

If checked to on river or bet small, push the rest.

You need to call here this shallow.
