Had an interesting hand last night at Empire London, 1/2 game.

Hero open MP with KQo to 15 (the size because SB and BB are two super loose call station preflop, seen both call 12-15 raise with cards like K3o, J7o, and call 3bet with 85s, etc etc), both SB V1 and BB V2 call as expected.

Flop (45): 742r
All check. V1 plays straightforward and still passively post flop; while V2 makes pot size bet when he has a GSD or cr when he has SD/FD. Both will call at least 2 streets with low pair any kicker. Hence no cbet here. Plan is either show down with my probably best card as K high, or even better hit K or Q and I’m very confident my kicker will be better than theirs. So don’t really want to cbet any one out here.

Turn (45): 6, still rainbow
All check again. Here I’m pretty sure V2 has no draw, because he almost always bet here as a semi bluff.

River (45): 5
V1 check, V2 bet 25
Here I’m very certain V2 is just bluffing, because of the reasons mentioned above. However, with V1 after me to action, I wasn’t sure whether V1 hit a straight at river, or will just call down with a 7 or 6 (or even 5). Maybe raise is an option to squeeze out V1’s small pair (V1 is capable of folding 6/5 seeing a bet and a raise, I think)?

Anyway, I tanked a bit but finally gave up the pot.

Thoughts on how could I handle this hand better in any street?

Will reveal the result later.

You played it fine. Don't spend a lot of time trying to find ways to bluff stations out of pots. With real stations you just need to wait until you have a hand to go for profit. That will mean giving up some hands you could have won but there are more hands where they will call with garbage pairs so trying to bluff them off isn't profitable in the long run.

You could go for a raise on the river here because it does looks like they both have garbage but it's marginal. You would have to make a pot sized bet and that means it needs to work half the time just to break even. Are you really going to get both of them to fold 60%+ of the time? Possible if your read is correct but it's thin.

Nh. Nothing you can do. Any 2x-8x is gonna call. All you can do is ISO them to death wait till you make a pair then take a nice little trip to value town. If you try to bluff loose donkeys of hands. That just makes you an aggro donkey.

Results: I fold, V1 fold, V2 proudly shows his bluff hand JTo.

Thanks for above replies and glad to hear people think I played it okay!
