I played some $1/2 for a couple of hours last night...the main table was lap/lap NLHE/PLO8; I was down $200+ due to the PLO8 (I know the game, but ran terribly) after bricking with a ton of outs holding A236 (missed straight wrap and nut lows) and a similar hand.
I was given the option to help start a 2nd table of NLHE only so I went for it and got $100 back. I don't have much time here, but one quick HH:
Effective stacks are $130 and I'm in late position with 77...several limpers...I raise to $16. An older gentleman calls (I'd say he's in his 60s for sure...very little history with him). Flop is J64 rainbow and villain leads out for $20. I still feel like my hand is good (he limp/called PF) although he could have something like AJ, but older gentlemen don't call $16 PF OOP with AJ. (of course position probably means nothing to him now that I think about it)
I count out the $20 and fiddle with my chips only a few seconds and announce "all-in"...and he almost instantly says "well I guess I'm folding then, nice hand" and folds QQ face up!!!
One guy begged me to show, but I don't do that anymore
