River ($70): Ac
X, Hero bets $35, V raises to $80, Hero folds
V shows JdJs.
I have no questions about pre and flop.
Since the turn completes the straight and flush, I decided to pot control in position, but obv could bet as well to charge Qx with a heart or something.
I was remembering a similar hand from last week where I bet turn, the guy called, I bet thin on the river again, got xraised and had to fold, guy showed me the turned flush. So I decided to take the conservative option here.
OTR, once he checks, I feel like I’m always good and go for some value. Unexpectedly, he checkraises me and I have to lay it down since 99% of players would never bluff here.
The guy was obviously a thinking player and realized my river range is capped when I check behind turn and decided to make a very strong looking checkraise to outplay me.
I feel like I played the hand perfectly though and would fold the river everytime at 1/2.
No reads on SB, BB?
I'd Usually b/f turn w/no reads but don't mind checking at all as all the draws get there
Fold riv is good as flop calls now can be 2p, lose to turned straight, flush. This player type is rare, don't think you played it bad at all
