1/2 NL. 6 handed table. Loose aggressive table.

Hero ($320 stack): UTG. Tight player, but probably appears to be loose based on taking down lots of pots without getting to showdown.

Villain ($140 stack): MP. Loose aggressive player. In his 50's. I've played with him a few times and he loves playing draws more than almost anyone I have ever played with and tries to make too many hero calls.

Hero looks up to A J and limps. Everyone else limps and BB checks.

Flop comes A J 8. SB Checks, BB checks, and hero bets $6. Villain calls and everyone else folds.

Turn comes K. Hero bets $15 and villain raises to $30. Hero calls.

River comes 9. Hero checks, villain bets $35 and hero calls.

Villain shows down K 8, hero takes down pot and villain says "You're not even good at poker, you know that right? You just get so ******* lucky."

My questions are:
1.) How awful was my limp pre flop? CO was playing on serious tilt and raising most hands I limped in, and both SB and BB raise it almost every single time if it's an unraised pot.

2.) Were my flop and turn bets too small?

3.) Should I have pushed him all in on the turn?

4.) Was I wrong to check/call the river?

Thank you in advance for your responses!

In general please put pot sizes in post and DON'T put results in post. I think you basically played it fine. Pre-flop is whatever, depends on table conditions, but OK. Post-flop also seems OK. You could maybe win a little more here, but not much more and have to respect that he can have QT here. Ignore opponents who don't know how to lose with dignity.

I'd raise pf with a loose aggressive group. Otherwise, you played it fine.

Keep in mind that he thought he had a sure winner with the two pair. He's just lashing out because he already had the pot in his stack in his mind. I'd say nothing in response to his comment. If he can't drop it, then I'd just agree I'm lucky and tell him he get me the next time.

Definitely raise this preflop. Maybe 10 handed is different but you're only playing 6 handed so come in for raise preflop unless there is a very very good reason not to.

I'd also bet a bit larger on the flop/turn but otherwise agree, the hand is played fine.

Organize your post/hand so that we know position+stack+hand+action on all villains also post at the flop pot+cards.

The hand seems OK. You probably should make some raise preflop due to the fact of value of your hand being away above the monkeys limping garbage. Make them pay to chase.

Actually you played normal but your opponent got unlucky by hitting his two pair and encourage him to lose even more. Don't you worry what other dudes are saying. It makes no sense to say you got lucky when you flop it. Some people want to have it both way but this game is the best 5 cards out of 7.

Going forward I will change the style of how I report a hand. Thank you for the heads up. I will also not tell the results until the comments. Thank you for the responses and information.
