6AM Strip poker, full table with two very live drunks. V is clearly drunk, been playing all night and has $1000 in a $300 max game. He's bluffy, aggressive and still savvy enough to be dangerous. I'm tight and selective and he just might get that. I just took off the other drunk for a double through to $340 last orbit.

Five way limp. V is SB. I'm BB with Tc 6c.

($8) Flop = Ac 2c 9h ... V ($1000) cks, H ($340) cks, Decent 35ish Asian player bets $10 ($250), Button calls ($350), V calls, H calls.

($45) 4 way Turn = Kc .... V cks, H bets $35, Asian player calls, suggesting to me he doesn't have the flush but it's a little troubling. Button mucks. V raises to $115. I tank. I watch the decent Asian more than anything in the first few seconds and convince myself he's folding. V offers up half of what I'd call a speech and that alone suggests to me he prolly has a flush. If he was bluffing he'd likely push. I hate it. I feel like a call here will commit me to a river call and pushing doesn't seem like a great move except that it eliminates future decisions.

Help me, 2 + 2 and thanks in advance for the thoughts.

Not happy about being check/raised in this situation. However, against a bluffy/aggressive villain I can't see giving up on the third nuts either. Even if he isn't bluffing he could have a smaller flush, he limped out of the SB he could have more or less any two clubs. Plus you get to see what he does on river, though you should be expecting a shove. This is a situation where you don't have much choice but soul read your opponent and go with it.

If he does check, check behind. Either he is trying to trap you with the nuts or he is on a bluff he gave up on.

With your stack size, and the aggressiveness of the villain in question I don't think fold is an option and would call the c/r. V could hypothetically limp with any two suited cards since he is so loose so there are 15 total flush combinations you beat. Even getting rid of 94s, 93s, 83s, 73s and 53s there are still 10 combinations of hands you have drawing dead/one out. He could also randomly spaz here with the Q as well, such as a hand like Q9 or even calling flop with KxQ. I don't think he would play two pair like this, but with such an unpredictable villain I wouldn't discount all combinations completely. There is a small chance he does this with K9 or K2 so add a few more in and you see you beat more combinations(22) than you lose to (13). Though, V does have some equity with his two pair hands against your hand.

Thanks for the replies.

I called the turn and intended to call any non-club, non-pair river without thought and to reconsider any board pairing river. Asian player behind me insta-mucks as advertised. A 4h comes off and V checks. I check back and beat 7c 3c.

I think I chickened out on the river but...
