1/2
6-Handed

(Button) Hero $415: 97
(CU) Villain $280: Standard Loose Passive, bets w/worse a lot rarely ever raises without the nuts.

Preflop: $5 Straddle in EP... Limped around... 5-ways to the flop, Pot = 25

Flop, Pot = 25
975
Checks to hero, Hero bets 20, Villain min x-raises to 40, Hero...?

What do you make of min raise sizing like this in general?
Plan for turn and river?
Call once to hit our 4 outer and fold...?

Call flop / evaluate turn. If V bombs the turn then we can probably fold if you have a large sample size of him raising only nutted hands postflop.

What were some of his nutted raise sizings from previous hands? If they were larger, or if he tended to flat big hands and raise on later streets, this will help narrow down a x/minraise range.

On the read you've given, call and evaluate. Raise sizes, range, etc., would help. Could he have 75?

Strange he checked with only Hero left to act and risk losing a street of value. Do you think he perceives you as aggressive?

I'd follow prior advice - call flop and evaluate turn. Unimproved, folding to a strong turn bet given V descript.

Previously he raised the turn 3x with top 2 after flatting a dryish looking flop vs. another loose villain.

V tends to bet when xed to most of the time with his entire range like mid pair etc... on both flop and turn. Isn't really a thinking villain... Have yet to see him get out of line raising w/worse.

I think in general if we were to get into villain's head or any villain in general making a min raise sizing i don't think they think we will ever fold to a min raise...

Did he flop top two or turn it? Which pair did he have on the flop?

Makes this slightly scarier, but is 57 in his range? Is A9 or similar?

And we shouldn't here.

Also, how often do you bet your button when it checks around? What is V's image of you -- or what do you think it is?

He perceives me to be tight solid tho i've been cbetting a lot of boards in the past few orbits due to me smashing some flops. He isn't capable of x-raising me light and there is no way he is getting out of line in this spot, but he might think oh evo will stab here good time to x-raise.

In your other post he flopped top 2 and flatted his hand OTF and raised a blankish looking turn that brought in some draws.

Ouch. Call and bink. Seriously, this is not good, but I'm not ready to fold quite yet (although it's sounding better and better against this V).
