V1: Mid 20s TAGy player, seems competent. Have been at the table with him for a couple of hours and have seen some bluffs from him get caught.

Don't post result. Probably fold turn but the main thing is that you should fold pre to the raise.

You want to fold pre precisely because of what happened. If V1 is a TAG, we can speculate that his 3-betting range might be something like JJ+, AQs+. AJ is not only behind that range, but dominated by pretty much everything.

If he's got AK or AQ and an aces comes, we'll be in a world of hurt. If he has jacks, queens, or kings, there's only 3 cards in the deck that give us a higher pair; and it will be difficult to know when it's good and will be even more difficult to exact value. AA obviously obliterates us.

We're basically hoping to flop trips or a flush draw. So, it's a fold.

+1 against a TAG this is a clear fold PF. We flop topsies and there was a good chance we were still 3rd place on the flop. V2 flat PF out of the blinds looks super strong as well.

Agree'd, this hand is a perfect example of why you should fold pre. Jesse123 nailed it with the range analysis. We need a good read that Villain is 3bet pretty light to continue OOP with AJs.

I think pre flop and flop are mostly fine. Folding turn though without significant history.
