Hero is UTG+1 (Full 9 table), with 19BB after taking a cooler against a smaller stack. Chip guy is no where to be found so adding on is out at this moment. My mistake was not taking myself out of the game prior to the game but dealer is hustling through hands so I missed my chance.

Rest of table is all pretty much the same 22-30 yr old fundamentally sound but very aggressive (good mix of TAG/LAG). Game plays like a 2/5 with large(5-9BB) PF raises.

Small and big posts, UTG straddles.

Hero looks down at JdJc.

Am I just shoving with this stack facing the straddle in UTG+1? Is it reasonable to limp/raise a straddle? I think less is more and it's just a shove.

Without a straddle, if this was folded to you on the button there might be some range for debate if open shoving or raising and shoving flop is better. First to act after the straddle, there is nothing to do but shove.

If table is agro like you describe, limp shoving seems fine. Shoving is also fine obv and the EV difference between the two is going to be fairly small.

I don't expect much debate either. I learned my lesson, I suppose. I donk raised to 6bb (retrospect hurts!) 2 LP and straddle calls. Flop 228 Rainbow. Straddle guy checks. Auto shipped the flop and only straddle calls flipping over pocket 2s.

Hindsight is 20-20. PF ship and the straddle folds here. .. It's all about learning I guess.

What hands call an 18X bb raise pf (even in a straddled pot)? Is your concern that if you don't get it in pf then playing post flop oop with JJ (~even an over card is going to flop) is challenging because you won't get anyone to fold with a short stack or you can't extract maximum value when you hit favorable boards? If you want to get your 19bb in pf against these players then limp raise (which may not work) but most likely the best play is to play standard poker (likely win a small pot-in this case you were beat) and if necessary get more chips when the runner comes off his break.

You have JJ and 10bb effective, just don't fold... Shove is +ev, 3xing the straddle is certainly fine, and limping is too if you're likely to get raised.

You are looking at this wrong. You are focused on your result (Loss of hand), and trying to think, "if I played this differently, could I have won?" Point is you raised to $12 with $26 behind and got 3 callers.

Flop: Pot ($37) You are shoving on just about every flop with JJ except an AKQ rainbow.

It was a +EV situation that you did just fine in. If you want to do better I would suggest the limp/shove if your table is almost always finding a raise pre-flop. Make those guys pay all your stack to see the flop since you are effectively committed by your raise anyway.
