1-2

I open to 10 in early position with AK villain calls co, button calls, B.B. calls.

I’ve been playing very Argo and have built up a 1K stack. C betting most flops and raising a lot Pre. Gillian is trying to play well. He recently bet folded a AK36 turn to my check raise after I opened and bet flop, and the c/r turn. He showed an ace.

Flop is A66r, I check, villain bombs $125 into the pot and has $350 behind. Other two fold.

I was going to say you have two options, but not true. Obviously, if you are ahead, you are ahead; if you're not, you're not. It was shove or fold, but I actually think you need to make up your mind now and call or fold, unless he will call a shove with a worse A. If not, call and once again check/shove any turn. If the turn checks through, it sucks, but you have to bet most rivers.

I mean, you could just decide to shove or fold now, but I think he'll call w/ a 6 and fold most everything else.

Has he ever bombed a street before?

I think a bet like this going up against an aggro player is rarely a bluff. He knows you're aggro, and want to play for stacks, right? I think 80% he has a 6 and 10% he has AK and 5% each of AA and a total bluff. We need to let this go and get in a better spot. We don't have to make our winrate on one single hand, and there's no reason for high variance play in this circumstance. But nits gonna nit.

Bet flop for value

No idea wtf is going on with the flop overbet. Villain is trying to play well... then 3x overbets the driest flop. Can't think of a single hand this makes sense for. He started hand with like $500, do you not have reads how he got that stack? I guess fold.

Why'd we check? Is V good enough to think if you missed you'd have bet so he thinks you like your hand?

Knowing you've check raised before and he pulled this move tells me, "I have a 6 and this pot is mine".

I know we need to think of this in terms of the 165 pot, but I can't get away with we only have 10 in and "only" made TPTK

You'll see LLSNL make these ridiculous overbets from time to time. I've seen this enough to know that you can't say "It's always a bluff" or "It's always the nuts." There's just no way. The first time I see it I give them credit, but if they table a weak hand after this or starting doing this more frequently, you'll need to open up your calling range. It's a really tough fold to make here becuase AK crushes that board, but he isn't just betting into you, he's betting into two others that could have also flopped 6's.

Bet flop, AP fold, also raise bigger OOP pre.

If this was a 6x combo 50% of the time and total air 50% of the time we're still only barely getting the odds to call (125 into 165 ?). Since his other hands will have equity as well, this is generally a -EV call.

At LLSNL, I believe this is a 6x more than 1/2 time.

Just fold. You only have 5BB invested here. Don't go broke with TPTK.

Just fold. No idea what villain has, but at LLSNL it's best to err on the side of not paying people off.

100% call. my theory is why would a guy bomb it with a 6 after you checked flop? it looks like you have nothing. this is some kind of tilt move i bet. id call him down but hes probably gonna realize you have something after your call and shut er down
