Fold pre>3b>call. 10bb oop w/A5s is no good. Wait for a hand you can 3b the maniac with and get hu.

Flop bet is bad. If you are going to semi bluff you have to do it with a sizing that people will fold to. C/r big is a better line but still unadvisable mw. Ap just call the 50 more. Maniacs don't (normally) fold top pair. If you had 88 here you might take this exact line and expect to get paid by TPGC.

V is calling with any K, two pair or set and you are behind. Possibly calling with QcJc or QcTc as well. Might have KxQc which would let him know he is blocking your flush draw. Pretty aggro shove on your part, hope you hit. Ace might or might not be an out for you, maniac implies he is playing any two aggressively, but he is way ahead if he has any pair at all and you shoved why? Maniac won't fold much and he doesn't need much since you have just A high at the moment.

I am probably folding pre but I also suck at 3! oop

c/c flop for me with the intention of letting him hang himself.

He raises to 90 into a pot of 140 which would have been a bet of ~65 if you didn't bet. You also get to see if HJ, CO, BTN call and give you better pot odds

I would fold this pre as well. V just isn't deep enough for you to call 5% of his stack.

I would have c/c this flop. Leading doesn't do anything for you other than allow you to get overly aggressive with at best 12 outs (most likely 9). If V was a tight player then I can see it better as you would have some FE, but my guess is that this V calls with any King so u need to hit the flush or runner runner str8/trips to win.

Leading allows you to get aggressive with the best hand sometimes considering this V calls with any FD and might hero call/fold a King.
FYP

Please don't fold pre when closing action in this game.

Ummm, no. You have air on this flop so you are only semi-bluffing or outright bluffing. V's range is way better than yours on this flop so leading only serves to bloat a pot OOP where it is likely you need to hit the flush to win.

These are terrifyingly bad remarks and instead of reaffirming your position you should take a step back and consider why you’re meeting such harsh criticism.

Hero played this really well on all streets including the call pre and then seizing initiative otf to induce the spew to clear a path for a no brainer HU jam against a trash gii range ripe with worse FDs and lots of pairs.

Agree to disagree. H played this in the most high variance way possible (including the OOP preflop call for 5% of his stack with 19-1 IO that he basically needs to get ALL THE TIME when he hits to make it roughly 0 EV). Perhaps you assign a much weaker range to V than I do because he was described as "a maniac". Fair enough...but if he is actually that way, why not wait for a chance to stack him FOR VALUE instead of a bluff?

I love the assumption that his flop lead "induced spew". Sure could be true, but maniacs end up with actual hands sometime as well and I for one don't think having possibly 12 outs (and more likely 9 that are clean) is a spot to routinely get 100 big blinds in no matter your opponent.

I would mostly fold preflop but if I called, I love the way hero played the hand post flop.
