Villain had a stack of $300, i had him covered. He opens for $11 UTG and ive been playing with him for a while that session and he is extremely conservative ABC player. I also notice a sizing tell with $10+ opens being premium hands, but isn't 100% reliable of course. Anyways, i flat in the cutoff with 99 and it's heads up to the flop. Flop comes Kd9s8s, he checks and i bet $20 into $25 pot and he flats. Turn is a 5h, he checks and i bet $45 before saying "do you have Queens or Jacks?"(trying to induce those hands to hero call me) and he shoves all in. I eventually do make a crying call, as im only losing to KK and 67, but 67 being an unrealsric opening hand from him utg. Do you think i should be folding 99 here to anyone, even a player type like him where he has 0 bluffs in that spot? He showed KK btw.I didnt snap call as im not that type of player, i did honestly put him on KK and essentially made a crying call. I completely discluded 67 from his range in that position, but do you think its possible to get away from this cooler?

It's possible but hard. The turn is such an over shove I could find a fold if I could be sure that villain is never over playing AK/AA and is never bluffing. Against most I would at least put AsKs/AA in their range and call some of the time.

I would also have to be convinced villain is not a good player because the way he played this is terrible. Making the over shove on the turn after 76 gets there will essentially be limiting hero's range to hands that beat him and sets.

I know it is an extremely exploitable fold if i was to have done it. But like i said, against the rockiest/nittiest player which is basically who the villain is profiled as to me 4+ hours deep into the session i feel i should've fold. Obviously im not folding faceup if i was to do so. Its close to a snap call against the general 1-2 player. What leant me more towards a call is the check call, check shove line on such a coordinated board and given what i said about the "QQ/JJ". Probably should shut up instead of relevelling myself in that spot.

If he played it more conventionally, i.e cbet $20, i'd have repopped to a $75-85ish ballpark and he 3bets flop i could find a fold much more easily.

dont fold 2nd set on non straight/flush flops. its not profitable.

Game theory standards im almost never folding there. If a player who has developed an overly tight image to me decides to run a big bluff like that he'd probably get me to fold. Which is highly exploitable i know.
But holding the 3rd nuts against the turn overjam from the nittiest player surely isn't a snap call?

You absolutely crush a range of KK,AA,AK. Even if you reduce the likelihood of AA, AK to < 50% you're still ahead. This is not a spot to find a fold.
