You're too short-stacked to have enough implied odds to make the call. Also, if he probably has a big hand and you're pretty short-stacked, then you don't have much fold equity either.

So, go ahead and fold.

limping is very bad
flop is very bad too. bet/3b shove. as played, r/gii.
turn: call now since you have no FE imo.

badly played hand though imo

Fold pre. You arent in great position and should rarely be limping while shortstacking.

Flop I could go either way on. With a TAG otb and 2 checks to me I would bet out to try and take it down or at least buy the button and a free river. If he only bets 2 pair plus (not a TAG then, btw) then I guess checking is ok.

There may be a case for open shoveling the turn since its a scare card and you pick up equity. As played you have almost direct odds to call since almost all your outs are clean. Shove all flush/straight rivers.

Thanks for the responses guys. I know I played this hand pretty poorly but I was kind of tilted after losing to a higher set a little earlier and was chasing my losses.

The reason I checked on flop was this particular villain was only cbetting about 20% of flops. He was certainly capable of betting $10 in position with nothing though. He was playing nit/TAG so my logic was if I can keep everyone in til the turn and catch my nut flush there was more value to be had.

When he double barreled I knew the turn had helped him so 2p+. I ended up tank shoving because I figured I had at least a tiny bit of fold equity here plus my flush draw. Ended up rivering the Ts for the nuts but I am trying to fix this leak in the future.

Glad your flush came in, he had 2p? That's such a good nick too, cheddarbob.

I would not be limping with 41 bbs. if you are going to shove a non spade turn then raise flop shove turn
