1/2 NL: How's my play w/ JTs? 1/2 NL: How's my play w/ JTs?

1/2 NL live. Villain in the hand is male, from the Caribbean, def likes to get his chips in on a draw. More aggressive than the typical B&M nit. Has about $120 in front of him.

I'm in the SB w/ JTss. Four limpers to me. I like to play this hand, suited JT, for a raise almost anywhere I am on the table, so I make it 10. Two calls including one short stack who has $10 behind after the call.

Flop is 984, two diamonds.

I bet 20, Caribbean calls, other guy puts in his last 10 and we have a sidepot. Turn is a 9. I check, Caribbean bets 30. He's folded me out with that exact amount previously. I don't think he's enough of a nit to assume he's made his boat.

River is my 7, no flush draw made it. Check or bet? And, what are your feelings about JT soooted?

Cliffs:

1. Provide stack sizes
2. Limp pre.
3. Check flop. If you must bet, bet more.
4. Check/call turn is OK, but only because it's a small bet.
5. Bet unless you've seen him check behind in big pots, otherwise it's close between checking and betting. In a vacuum, I put him all-in.

Stack sizes would be helpful (beyond just the villain).

I'm personally calling this pre from the SB. If I'm raising, I'm sure as heck making it more than 10 with four limpers. You're setting yourself up to play a bloated pot multi-way out of position. Which is exactly what happened. I'm making this $15 minimum if I have to raise it.

As played on the flop . . . there's $40 in the pot and it's drawy. I'm not getting folds, so I'm actually just hoping to see the turn cheaply. So I check. If I have to bet, I'm making it $30 and trying to get folds.

As played on the turn . . . you should assume the villain who's all-in is ahead of you, so your equity isn't super-high. The villain is betting $30 into $130 or so. That's super-cheap, so I'll call it and hope to hit my straight.

River I guess, I guess is read dependent. Villain's down to $50 by my count. If you've ever seen him check behind in a decent-sized pot, you have to bet. If not, and you're pretty confident he'll fire, I guess you can check and either raise or call. In a vacuum, I probably put him all in and hope he calls his $50 since the pot's almost $200 by now and he's getting pretty good odds.

My bad on the stack sizes ... I have about 200, he started the hand with about 130.

dont count on people to bet for you - bet the biggest amount he'll call. Since the top card is paired, I would make it pretty big and hope he has trips.

This is why OOP sucks - you hit your hand and don't have a great way to make money.
