I have been playing at the table for roughly 20 minutes, so I'm still settling in. $200 effective stacks.

Folded to MP2 who opens for $12. Folded to me in the CO and I make it $36 with AK. All fold to the original raiser who makes the call.

Flop is KTQ Rainbow with 1. The Villian checks and I bet $50. He then raises to $120, what's my play and how are my decisions up until this point?

Your play is to provide some reads on the MP2.

Man/Woman?
Age?
Day hand took place and time?
How does the villain look at his cards?
Does the villain need to keep checking them?
Are the stacks neat in 20 chips stacks or scattered?

There's more, but this is all information you should be able to gather even if this was your first hand.

Blindfolded and dropped in the hand at the decision point, I'd call because the SPR on the flop is under 3.

Reads?

100BB stacks are tricky (my local game is typically deeper). After betting $50 OTF we've put in 40% of our stack. For this reason folding seems bad. OTOH, what do we beat? As played I fold.

I really like a flop check against an aggressive opponent to widen his range when we GII. Against passive players bet/fold OTF is probably ok, spr be damned.

Interested to hear others responses

But what do we beat? KJ, JJ?

As played, calling off last $114. Could have JJ/JX hands, and Hero has outs when behind.

Flop - check back. While you may get value from the above hands, betting puts you in this exact spot.

^ This.

I think V would have re-popped his QQ/KK preflop. He's not checking his TT on the flop or his KQs either.

V has AJs or combo draws. H gets the right price on call versus combos.

Yeah I think the issue is betting flop. Stacks are such that we can afford to be defensive and keep their air around.

As played we're kind of obligated to just go with it with 2 cards to come and how much we have to put in relative to the pot. I've definitely check raised hands like JT in this spot specifically because people will bet fold AK and AA

Side note: Good 3 bet sizing preflop. For the purpose of expedience at 1/2 though (and because i assume people will call 3 bets too much), I'd just round up to the nearest 5. So 40 might be a little better.

I think I'd probably sometimes bet flop and sometimes check it back.

As played I'm happy calling it off. You block some combos of everything that beats you except QQ/TT/QTs against which you gave a few outs. V can be behind with JJ/JXs.

You might be chopping too.

We're not overjoyed to get it in here but I don't think we can confidently fold either.
