Effective stack is V1 $110

V1 (bb) has been trying to stack me all night, same guy same session in a previous post that hasn't been to a casino in years. He had been beating me up all night, for medium to smallish pots, nothing horrible, I just can't seem to beat him.

V2 (utg1) don't have any hh with him, seems to be able to hold his own.

Pre: 4 limpers in front of me, I have 74 in the sb I complete, bb check. ($12 in pot)

Flop: J63
I lead out for $10, bb and utg1 call. ($42 in pot)

Turn: 8
I lead for $30, bb and utg1 call again. ($132 in pot)

River: 6
I check, bb jams for $74, utg1 tank folds, I ?? I ask if he'll show if I fold and he says no.

Thought process:
I feel his jam on the river should be a call but my gut instinct was to fold. And I always remember "think long think wrong" so idk.
Does anyone check / call the turn to pot control, idk if that is looking at it results oriented or not. Also does anyone put out a blocker bet on the river of like $15-20 and then if jams I can snap fold, even if it is only for $50 more? If he raises/jams we know we are beat? Idk if these plays are ways to minimize loss and at the same time getting to see a showdown as well. V1 stack size is just awkward 3 ways to the river.

I don't understand your turn sizing in the slightest. Also, we're checking river why? If you & UTG are deep, bet/folding is fine, and we're committed against the short BB regardless. Way better line than x/guessing, or worse, letting it get checked through & miss another street. vs. Jx, Ac6x, 7c6x, etc.

I think my turn sizing is fine, betting $30 into a pot of $42. What would you recommend on sizing? and I checked the river because the board paired and I have a weak flush, I would much rather check call than bet and get raised.

I checked the river because I would rather call a bet than get raised by a higher flush or full boat.

I only check this river to induce. I'm never folding this to these stack sizes. If your beat your beat. You have to lose over a third of the time and your underrepped by checking. To lose money here so this is a pretty trivial call.

I don’t see any boat in their range, both based on available cards, and that I think two pair would have raised you by turn.

They certainly could have a better flush, but you were the one who played 47, they are short stacked and you also said the villain has been trying to “get” you all night.
I snap call here.

I may be able to find a fold against a different villian or for $150+

Unless I am wrong, we are 55 blinds effective? If that is right, then once you flop your flush, you need to play the hand in a way to get all your chips in unless a 4th club comes. So checking the river makes zero sense.

U have $68 left. Please tell me you aren't folding for that amount.

What range do you give the bb in a limped pot?

Definitely not folding for that amount, but I would rather check / call all in with the possibility of getting checked around. I took this line on the river with the plan on calling a jam from the bb but hoping that the bb checked, then the utg1 would check and I could see a showdown with a 7 hi flush.

V could easily do this with a 6 and any 9+ club. I think he would probably shove the flop or turn with 2 pair.

I think you’re completely backwards here. This logic says you’ll call a bet from a hand that beats you but will allow hands that you beat (and will call a bet) to check behind. Think about whether that makes sense.

Also, FWIW I would have played the hand nearly identically up until the river.

Just bet the river. You miss so much value by c/c here.
