H - ~$500 - mid 20's white guy with headphones and hoodie, playing tight and hitting hands so people could perceive me to be more aggressive than I actually was playing

V1 - ~$260 - mid 50's white guy, seems like a rec player...had a hand where I raised $15 pre flop with pocket 10's and got 3 callers...flop was 842 and the guy leads $25...not sure what the lead meant so I call....turn 5...he bets $35...I call....river J and he bets $60 and I call ....and he shows 87 of diamonds....I asked him if I raise flop if he calls and he says "i had top pair, so yeah probably"....so safe to say this guy is a rec player

V2 - ~$300 - mid 20's black guy with headphones on, seems like he plays a lot with his mannerism, how he handles his chips...but he is new to the table

V3 - not important to the hand

OTTH

Hero is on the button with A6 hearts....V3 makes it $12, V2 call, I call and V1 calls from SB

Flop - $45
AAQ with two clubs
Checks around to me and I check for deception/balance

Turn - $45
10 spades, putting two spades out there
V1 leads $15
V3 Call
V2 Call
Hero raises to $50
V1 calls
V3 folds
V2 calls

River - $195
9 hearts
V1 checks
V2 checks
Hero ??

Check back>bet/fold>bet/call ??

Imho.

As played without better reads....River is a Check. -you are behind KJ or QQ and AQ, AK, AJ, A10,A9, 1010, 99.

Ahead of Q10s,KQs, QJs,Q9s, JJ, KK.

But I am a TAG and one my leaks is not value betting here out of fear. I also am interested in feedback on this hand.

Good Luck.

With the way the hand played out, I'd check river. If you do bet the river, just realize that you're turning your hand into a bluff and are looking to push Ax off a chop. Both flush draws bricked, and I just don't see any hands that we're getting value from here. Plus it's possible that we don't even have the best hand.

Checking "for deception" in this multi-way pot sucks. V's aren't catching up because you already have lots of aces, it's not like you have trip 5's and you are hoping that V's hit a top pair hand on the turn. So might as well bet now to charge the draws and get a call from Qx. You're on the button so you can easily evaluate any crazy action and the turn/river play of V's that are OOP. When two people call your turn raise I think you really have to check river, going to be pretty tough to get paid off by worse if you raise turn, get two calls, then bet again on river.

If the read on V1 is correct, and V1 overvalues weak hands then we could potentially get paid off by worse from him. However, V2 is in the hand, and he has a reg'ish image so he's going to be able to play correctly against us if we bet. It's a check.

This is a check because you have v2 who overcalled your turn raise. Vs V1 alone maybe you can go for thin value but vs 2 players is a check.
