I mean, yeah, limping isn't some absurdly awful LOL play but provide an EV calc of opening any hand in a situation that isn't totally contrived. You can't really, without speculating. Point is, poker - especially LLSNL - is wildly unpredictable so it's going to be based on a LOT of guesswork.

The facts here are that we have two matching cards in the best possible position on a table that involves people putting lots of money in the pot with weak holdings. Personally, I drool when I see 99 on the button here and think it misses a ton of value to limp behind and try to play an underpair without initiative against several opponents when we could play a big pot, with initiative, in position, against better defined ranges. That doesn't involve any EV calcs, that's just assumptions about where money comes from in the game.

Broadly, we make make in poker by maximizing the $$ in the pot when we have an advantage of some kind, be it skill, cards, or position. This is one of the scenarios when we have all three, so it's hard not to advocate bombing it.

Don't leave the money on the table trying to dodge tough spots by limping 99 or god forbid TT/JJ.

While I almost always to the aggressive avenue with hands, I doubt you can show me that taking $15 down preflop (and some % you run into the limped / 3bet big pairs) , will be higher EV than flopping a set of 999 wuth 7-8 other players taking the flop.

There is no way.

I would fold. The limp reraise is EP from a rec is almost never a bluff and almost always AA KK

However you are getting decent odds to rip it in and hope for a 9 ball... Not a smart play tho imo.
