yeah when you say you will show your pair he pretty much has to call you with kq, qj etc

If Villain likely has something like KQ/QJ then even if he folds one out of a thousand times then shoving is better than calling. That's because you have odds to call if Villain shoves.

If the Villain has AQo or better you're not getting odds to call a shove.

Your hand plays much better in a multi-way pot. You usually don't have great odds to draw heads-up, and you usually do if it's multi-way.

During the beginning of clock, villain showed me Q9.

I think completing is the better preflop play. As played I think a cbet is pretty good idea, especially since if called I have a lot of options on various turns.

I'll remember not to type how he's feeling, I think that every reader knew he had a weak Q when I wrote that.

I think his call tells me that trying to get villains to fold at 1/2 << trying to get them to call.

Yes, there are some times I check shove AA,AQ,KK but quite seldom, so this hand fits a range thats crushing/flipping. But I rarely do this. I also think I projected onto him the ability to know that range beats his probable hand, wrongly.

Two hands later I got AA and a 120 stack called down and felted with air on a Q high flop. I often wonder if hands like this affect future ones.

Thanks for the responses, all. I appreciate them.

Grunch, no your play is pretty terrible.

Limp pre with a hand that plays REALLY GOOD in multiway pots in or out of position. Bet flop. As played, shove is good since we checked but we should never be checking here.

Complete SB pre

Flop is villain dependent, if villain is very likely to bet when the pfr checks then it works well

You should have c-bet for $25-30 (maybe 30 is on the large side), continue on any turns, and also, be quiet in the hand. Announcing your hand is never a good idea and only a very select few can talk in a hand and effectively confuse their opponent for the better. The rest just give information away and say the wrong s**t. I try not to scoff when I see opponents doing it. You're just embarrassing yourself when you are.
