1/2 NL - AKo in CO facing re-raise shove and villain behind to flop 1/2 NL - AKo in CO facing re-raise shove and villain behind to flop

V1 $78 UTG+1 - Playing loose pre flop, wins then looses,
Hero $340 CO - playing tag, won a few $100 pots
V2 $440 BUTTON - down 2 buy ins being unlucky, seems solid

V1 raises to $12 preflop, Hero re-raises to $33, V2 flat calls on the button then V1 shoves all in for $78. Hero flat calls, V2 also flat calls.

Flop:

Kh Js 8d

Hero checks, V2 checks.

Turn:

6s

Hero leads out for $65, V2 asks if I have pair I say no then he calls

River:

7h

Hero shoves ALL IN, V2 tanks....

What is V2's range here? Is it bad to not bet the flop in this situation? Should I of checked back the river?

Spoiler:
V2 folds, V1 tables Q10 (Q high)

First: After V2 Calls behind i say his range is 99+,AK

In my opinion. You should 100% not flat call this after V1 goes all in, you need to reshove all in. If he is trapping with AA or KK then kudos to him. But honestly i dont think many people are flat calling a raise, then re raise with AA or KK. I think this guy either has the same exact hand as you and cant get away from it pre flop. Or he has 99-QQ most likely QQ or JJ. So by reshoving after V1 shoves then #1 that makes you look incredibly strong and makes QQ or JJ a very tough call for V2. If he does call then you are racing vs QQ,JJ or the same hand as yourself.

I posted before reading the whole hand history. As played i think you need to bet flop also! But you ended up winning the hand so good job.

Ship Pre, bet flop. As played don't shove river. Just value bet it.

His range SHOULD be strong TT+ AQs+ AKo. But many players at this level are calling wider in this spot. I would bet flop here tho.

Re-raise PF ... get a side pot going.

BET THE FLOP ... you got what you wanted. Time to get some value. NO FREE cards!!

You only get called when beat on the River without some sort of history between you and V2. Value bet $90 to $120 in side. I know that shoving is just PSB if you consider the main, but I like to just look at the side pot when sizing some value bets. GL
