V1 - Felix Landa (220) opens wide and early often for small raises. Savvy post flop, but usually wont commit without a big hand.

V2 - Mike Tomlin (220) calls wide, 3bets strong, plays draws fast, pot controls medium strength hands.

V3 - Local dealer (200) good overall but lacks discipline.

V4 - Drunk Latino. (300) Loose and spewy gambler.

Hero - MAWG - TAG image, covers table.

V1 opens for his standard 8 from UTG+1. V2 calls UTG+2, V3 calls UTG+3, V4 calls UTG+4, Hero calls with 86cc, both blinds call.

Pot $56

Flop A23ss Checks thru.

Turn 8h.

Blinds check. Felix bets 30, Tomlin calls 30. V3 & V4 fold. Hero?

Trivial? Care to extrapolate? Giving V1 credit for 99-KK and just folding out?

Fold. 2nd pair weak kicker is almost never good against a bet and a call. Especially with 7 players having gone to see the flop.

7 ways to a flop this is simply not going to be the best hand very often. There aren't many rivers we will like. There are still 2 players to act after us. A player could check Ax on this board given the # of players in the hand. We also don't beat any 8. Sure, we are going to be good here sometime but we still have 1 more street to play and in general this is not how you beat this game (in fact, this is how a lot of bad players leak away chips IMO).

BTW, the way you describe the villains it makes me want to say call but I feel that would be very disingenuous. Folding this in game nearly always.

If you were HU vs. V1 that might be valid logic. I'm worried about what V2 is calling with.

Not to mention weak aces aren't entirely out of V1's range. He may have refrained from c-betting after getting 6 callers, but felt safe enough to bet the turn after the flop checked through. It isn't impossible that he may have opened with 22,33 and tried to c/r the flop hoping one of the 4 players behind him would bet.

V2 pot controls med strength hands which an ace would fall well into his range given it's 7 way. Easy fold

Pre is fine.

You played it fine, snap fold the flop.

Good call pre. Easy fold on the turn.

Calling is borderline permissible if you have bluff outs on the river and you have a good read that the blinds are likely to fold behind you.

Like preflop. Total position, mid SCs > high SCs, 4BB raise is very small.

The problem with the turn is that most of the time you need to decide now what you're doing otr. Against some guys, you call call IP knowing they'll check if they're behind otr, and that call ott to check for SD otr is ok. But this isn't the situation or the type of V(s) to do it against.

There's a LATB Hand Of The Night where the 7 seat did it perfectly; the flat ott to check to SD otr, but I can't find it. The winner was a black guy named AJ I think, if somebody knows which date it was.
