1/2 at a private game in Hoboken, NJ.

This game goes once a week on fridays, and usually gets the same characters each week. They all know each other fairly well. buy-in is capped at 100bb

Hero SB: in his early 20's, and is easily the youngest player at the table by 15 years. I was brought to the game by another player at the table, and this is my second consecutive week playing. I am probably seen as tight, folding more than the table average pre flop and raising probably about 85% of hands i play. I have run good this session, and have shown only strong hands for decent pots. One of the other players has commented on the fact that I've been tight, and has given me credit for a hand a couple of times on the flop. $500

Villian UTG: He's about 40 years old, white, and probably thinks he is the best player at the table. He limps too much and calls a lot of raises. Has been flatting a lot of my raises IP pre-flop. Can get sticky on the flop if its dry, but when there is an obvious draw out there he'll tighten up. Last week, he folded his pair to a bet on the flop against a player he believed to be on a flush draw because "when that flush comes in I get 'cracked'". Is a fan of berating players for bad play. He won a big pot the first hand of the night where he called a $12 utg open with 100bb, flopped a set with 44 against AA and managed to get stacks in. hes sitting on about$400

one hand of note we had between each other is when he flatted my button raise with J4o against KJ, flopped bottom pair on a 9-high rainbow board and called my cbet, c/c turn and river and took the pot. Up to this point, we haven't gotten into any big pots with each other.

10 handed

UTG villian calls $2.
3 folds, HJ calls, CO calls, button folds
Hero looks down at AT and raises to $15.
Villian calls, HJ folds and CO calls (he's usually loose-aggressive, but has been relatively tight tonight and has $300 behind him).

Flop ($54)
K85

Hero cbets to $30, Villian quickly calls, CO folds.

Turn ($114)
3

Hero?

Sounds like he's calling you light, even with the folding to a FD just last week. What's more important is the now, and your only HH you put 3 barrels into him and he called you down with a pair of 4's. Plus it's not a great barrel card, I'd rather check here and hope he gives you a free card.

Any bet is going to have to be a large one and I don't want to commit against villain OOP and with just A high.

the HH was just to give an example of what i was trying to convey about calling my raises and such. I didn't fire three barrels into him though it was only a continuation bet and then I shut down.

Against such a sticky Villain with a multiway pot brewing I'm likely not raising ATs from the SB.

Hoboken is so nice. Hard to believe it's part of NJ

Where do you range Villain? 2nd pair? Or middle pocket pair? Certainly not top pair right? I think I would actually barrel here against this villain as he has seen you cbet and shut down, and your image is tight, the 2nd bullet just might do it, and if not, you likely have 12 outs to win. I say about 50-60% PSB here.

Bet again. Loads of people peel flop light and fold turn. I'd bet more on flop and bet 100 on this turn.

Bet way more on the flop to make it look like you try to "protect" some made hand against the FD. Also bet again on the turn so you get some FE (folding equity). Ask the dealer to spread the pot for you so that you kind of figure out how much is the pot. Say something like: "I'm not gonna let you draw out on me"....lol...lol. So, you bet the pot.If the flush card come down on the turn or river, then ask the dude if he just flushed against you ....lol..lol ??...If he says NO, then you say: "Well I think in that case I have the best hand". Now you bet! If he say: Yes, then you check if OOP and if he bets you raise him while saying: "I think you're bluffing and have no hand" ...lol..lol. In position you always bet or raise when you've flushed.

If you flopped the best hand like top-set or top-two in position and if a dude bets and another one calls, you do this: Say RAISE, but under-bet and let the dealer tell you that you have to mach his bet and raise at least how much was his bet. Then you complete the bet to mach his bet and let the dealer intervene for the second time and only after that you just raise the minimum like you want to avoid damage to your stack. If the dude up-front, the original better re-raises you, well, all it's OVER: you shove. If on the turn he bets again, well, you shove right there with some "bs" talk ...lol...lol.... He will call you because he's committed, absolutely confused with his mind logic f****-up, ...lol...lol...LOL
