$1/$2 at the local

Villain in this hand is a ~45 with the day off work. Pretty loose preflop, passive post flop. Played with him for 5 hours, his play degenerated big time in the last 2 as I watched him stack off 3 buy ins with huge, terrible river raises eg. 2 pair on scary boards when he should have checked IP.
Players began to play rubbish cards against him, a player rivered him with 10 2 and he hurled his cards, but then managed to calm down and smile, but everyone can see that he is burning inside and they all want to get at him.
I haven't seen him lay down a hand yet, and he's starting to spew chips, mostly calling preflop raises or continuing after he's missed.

Hero is up a little tonight. 20s student. Playing pretty TAG has been raising IP with PPs and suited connectors.

HERO $250

Villian $135

HERO is UTG with A Q
VILLAIN is MP1
HERO raises to $15
VILLIAN calls
CO calls
BUTTON calls.

FLOP AK7

Hero bets $35 into $63
Villain raises to $70
CO folds
BUTTON folds.

Hero??

I stoved this a couple of times

AQ vs {TT+,ATs+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,A7o+,KQo} I have 70%

AQ vs {QQ+,AJs+,KQs,AQo+} I have 40%

OTF I am only beaten by AA, KK, AK, K7, A7, 77 right? I ruled out Aces and Kings because I'm sure Villain would raise with those preflop, I also ruled out AK for the same reason, (but I was then told by a friend that like 90% of the time AK is calling preflop this kinda came as news to me, I know it's a drawing hand but I've seen players usually raising with AK)

So I assumed had villain on the nut flush draw or a weaker ace..

but what do you make of the min raise?? I've always seen the play as really fishy but weak, for me it just screams, I don't know what I am doing!! Also with hows he's playing lately I'm not getting away from this hand.

As Villain only has $50 behind, is jamming the correct move?

yes, jamming is the only move. He only has $50 behind, and he's shown a propensity to overvalue hands. He could easily be playing any ace like its the nuts here.

With only $50 behind I think you are quite past the commitment threshold. I can't see any other play than AI.

You should have known what you would do before you even bet the flop.

IMO, this isn't a fold.

I shove here but I expect to lose. The min raise from a short stack with action behind is insanely strong, and likely AK/77 here. Though some villains might show up with a flush draw trying to freeze the turn action, that is rare and silly with this sort of a stack. With a tilting villain, his stack just isn't enough to get me to fold here. The chance he is one some spazz bluff or semi-bluff is enough to keep me in.

No folding this after putting in 50/135 of effective stacks.

Ship.

PMD - Postflop minraise of death. He thinks he has you beat, problem is his definition of the nuts is too wide to fold TPTK for another 25BB. Plus I actually think he'll do this with any flush draw, as lots of fish think the draw is the nuts, even before it hits.

If you're only putting him on hands you beat I don't know what the confusion is.

AQo is right down the line for an UTG pf raise. I fold it.

how often does villain have AK in this spot? to UTG raises I'm tightening up my range but I usually 3bet with AK, AA, KK when I'm in middle position, should I change this up?

Villain won't have a hand that beats you very often. The thing is, the hands he takes this min raise line with are almost all ones that beat you. A good chunk of villains range is likely medium pairs and suited connectors, which just fold on that flop. Weaker AX make up some portion of his range, but are going with a mix of fold/call/shove depending on villain's play style. The min raise here is most commonly AK/flopped set, but how often and what else is in his range is very villain dependent here.

As for 3 betting, yes you should normally 3 bet those hands. AA/KK almost every time, AK is more debatable and depends on situation.
