This hand was played at Ballys AC.

Hero is mid 20's and has been a TAGish image, picking up a lot of pots without showdown, and the few times showing down strong hands. The only history with villain in question is a hand where Hero made a raise on the turn with top two pair, and villain folded.

Villain in the hand is an asian male in his late 50s, has been pretty loose pre-flop but has not gotten out of hands post flop. Will take stabs at pots, but his bet sizing seems to really indicate his hand strength quite transparently.

Hero has been at table for over an hour and has grinded up a stack without any big pots.

Hand in question: Folded around to Hero in Cutoff, who holds 7 7

Hero (350$) makes standard raise to 7$

Folded around to Villain (Covers hero ~ $500), who flats in the Big Blind.

Flop: J 7 3 (15$)

Villain bets out 10$

Hero thinks for a few seconds and makes it 35$

Villain insta-reraises to 63$

Hero thinks for a minute and calls.

~280$ for hero to call


Can anyone find a fold here?

This is basically never a fold as long as you think he'd do the same thing with 33 and JJ.

Folding here is criminal. The way played he rarely if ever has JJ.

Never folding here, would be EXTREMELY odd for villain to show up with JJ here. Only hand were losing to on the turn is 10-9 and this would probably be completely ruled out unless you think villain is capable of leading out then re-raising on the flop with a gut shot... I snap call NH.

Reraise flop and get it in on any turn

Yeah with bottom set I'm probably still getting it in. In this case hope he turns up his horribly played AA or you're on the good end of the cooler situation.
