we have been at this table now for a close to 3 hours, very loose action pre getting to flop with 6-7 way action almost every hand. hero in sb Ah10h cut off make it 12 villain on button 3bet to 35. button and I had gotten into a few battles prior. I decide that Im playing this hand as normally I would be folding this spot. cut off also comes along. flop 5s6s10d hero checks cut off check button bets 30 now to me I have seem villain play 3 other draws the exact way making small bets relative to pot. I call cut off folds. turn 10s completing flush giving me trips with top kicker, I check villain jams in 415 has me covered by 50. Now I find myself kicking my self for playing this hand or am about to crack him? is this just an auto fold? without telling me I shouldn't of been in pre as played whats the next move in this spot.

I know you know this but I'm going to reiterate it... fold pre. I don't care if you're getting into battles with this guy this hand is just not strong enough to cold call a 3 bet from the blinds. You are going to be out of position the whole hand and if you do flop an A you are very likely to be outkicked. Even if you get the dream T high flop like you do here he can still have all the overpairs so you don't even know if your 10 is good.

Also I would recommend trying to organize the hand a little better with some spacing between streets so its easier for us to see the action.

Flop you probably have to call because if you raise you are isolating yourself to all his overpairs that still beat you. Then he overbet jams 2x pot on a paired flushing board? This is such a weird betting pattern I have no idea what to make of it but I'm gonna fold to not compound my preflop mistakes. I imagine he would try to get more value with a flush he also should only really have nut flush draw combos because of his 3bet pre. You've been with the villain for 3 hours what other reads do you have? Have you seen him make ridiculous overbets like this before?

Fold pre. A good rule of thumb is to never cold call a 3bet, especially when you have a super marginal hand like ATs.

As played, you're in a pretty disgusting spot on the turn, facing a jam of $365 effective into a $160 pot, but I think I might actually hero call this. Like, unless we have evidence to suggest that he's capable of light 3betting hands like 55/66/QJs/etc. Then there just aren't a huge amount of combos that beat us. There's 2 combos of flushes he can definitely have (AKss and AQss) but anything else would involve him light 3betting preflop, which I have no reason to believe he's capable of doing. I expect him to show up with a lot of QQsx, KKsx and AAsx here. So I lean towards calling it off.

Without more info on Villain, or the stack size of the CO, I am folding this 100% PF. that's not nitty advice either, it's just smart poker.

As played, his hand is so polarized. If he has the flush, you are a 3-1 dog, if he has an overpair with a spade you are a 3-1 favorite. If he doesn't have a spade, he's drawing nearly dead.

Shrug and call, it's high variance for sure but he shows up with a worse hand often enough I feel like - hope it worked out.

If you called and won that's awesome, but don't ignore the fact that your hand should have hit the muck PF.

I ended up calling off. feeling the exact same way that he shows up with aa kk so much in that spot. however this time he had the AsKs. ****ty spot but I asked for it by calling pre. im gonna be honest and say that I was looking to find a spot to bust this guy, kinda tilted me earlier.
