Hero has 260 on the BTN.
V is newer to the table. Has about 450 behind. Won a huge pot only moments ago where he all in the river and got called by a guy who turned over 3 cards in his hand. His hand was ruled dead so he got the pot. Seems to limp quite a bit but raises occasionally (usually quite a bit like most 1/2 players, making it 12 or 14 pf).

Hero on BTN with QsJs.
V is in CO.

One middle position limper.
V makes it 14 which is what he normally does with his raises from what I have seen.
Hero calls.
Limper calls.

Flop: 79Q rainbow (Pot 45)

Limper checks.
V cbets 30.
Hero calls.
Limper folds.

Turn: 79Q-6 (Pot: 105)

V bets 60.
Hero calls.

River: 79Q-6-T (Pot: 225)

V bets 100.

Hero?

You have a bluff catcher type of hand but he is laying you pretty decent odds to call. To bet/bet/bet OOP with an overpair/TPTK is a little suspicious here since an 8 should be in your range. He could be thinly value betting with AQ/KQ/AA/KK/QQ but since you are calling 100 to win 325 you don't have to be right all that often to call.

Your hand looks nice pre, but vs. a player who mostly limps, QJs diminishes in value. Plays better multi-way ip.

Once u called pre and hit TP, call is fine.

Turn - fold, there are more hand combos ahead than behind. He could have TT/88 (u block JJ), but those total just 12 combos. AQ alone numbers 12 combos.

Fold pre - even if it's his "normal raise" it's still a large raise and you aren't very deep. If he is rarely raising then you are well behind preflop 98% of the time. If there were already a few players in the pot that would be different. I think too often you just flop a small piece and get taken to value town. If you were deeper and could win the occasional monster pot with straights, flushes, etc then I could see the call. Or if you know V is incredibly sticky and barrels relentlessly with his entire range then you could also justify the call.

Anyway, that's just what I would think about when considering to call or fold preflop here.

Flop seems standard.

Turn it starts to get iffy at best. You are really just hoping he has AK or maybe AJ by calling. He could have something like 67s (already ahead), 78s, 89s, 9Ts but those don't seem to be in his preflop raising range.

Sidenote: If they were in his preflop raising range, all of those hands (except the AK, AJ) get there on river.

With no read that he bluffs way too much I just fold turn. River is a super good price but still just a bluff catcher. Against a random rec 1/2 player it is probably close between fold and call - I don't think either option is great or terrible. Theoretically you have to call a lot of hands - but I think 1 pair with a weak kicker is about the worst hand you can have here so I just fold.

Man, seems consensus is to fold the turn. I thought a long time on the turn. I was afraid he had a bigger Q or an overpair. Because he limps a lot, I presumed his hand was pretty good when he raises so I felt that maybe I was in a lot of trouble here.

But, I think about all of the crazy stuff that goes on in 1/2 games and I thought that what if he just had junk and he is going ballistic to push me off. I guess if someone does that, you just have to fold unless you have a monster hand (unless if they are doing it a lot I suppose).

Hero called and V showed KJo for rivered straight via gut shot.

Fold to the raise preflop. We're not deep enough to be playing the QJs for a 7bb raise here.

As played, call flop, call turn and fold river. There are plenty of 8x and stupid two pair hands he can have here

I guess you could consider bluff-catching with AQ or better.
