1/2 Live, $300 Max, Hollywood Casino in Toledo @ 9pm on a Friday Night

I have just returned from dinner to 4-5 new people at the table, have watched 2 hands, came in on my BB, and now am in the SB.

Hero: Early 20's. $470 to start hand. Image not super important as villain(s) are new to table and have no reads.

BB: Female villain. Her husband is on her left, she does not seem likely to be competent judging by the 5-6 mins I've been back. ~$150 stack.

UTG+1: Main villain. 40s, maybe early 50s white dude. UAW t-shirt, chips stacked sloppily in stacks of $50. Doesn't handle chips well. Limped the 2 hands I saw while waiting for my BB. Covers.

The Hand: UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, 3 more limps, I complete my SB with 73, BB elects to see 3 cards for free.

Flop ($14): AJ6x. 3 checks, UTG+1 bets 15. 3 folds, I call, BB calls.

Turn (~$60) 9 I lead 32, BB folds reasonably quickly. UTG+1 makes it 100 in < 3 seconds. I?

Not going broke for 250 BB w 7 high flush in limped pot. He could be clueless but folding without more info. With more info, could change things, readless, folding.

Any thoughts about calling turn and then a C/F or even a bet-fold if River is safe?

Fold pre and this wont be a problem. Who cares if it's only $1 more. Low suited 3-gappers are only going to get you into spots like you're in now - bad ones.

Main V has you covered. And you have a healthy stack for 1-2. Is main V new to the game, or was there any history before your dinner break?

AP, just sigh fold. If you're calling the turn, you gotta be ready to call a $100-200 bet on the river. We can't call the turn, then fold to bricked rivers. That's bad. Sigh fold, and hope he shows his hand. There'll be another spot. Better spots then risking the majority of your stack in a 7-way limped pot with a 7-high flush.

Amazing how many people who think they know how to play will go to their poker grave claiming that "It was just one dollar more" or "I was getting 6:1 on my money", and totally ignore that they are choosing to play a very speculative hand OOP. If one could add up how much they lose by calling in the small blind. They all remember the time they flopped trips and got paid, but never remember the $100's lost over the long haul. Here you are playing fairly face up because you C/C the flop and then lead turn when the obvious scare card comes in and you are probably not getting called by worse.
My previous response was based on "as played", but this is the real factor here.

Folding flop seems pretty good but 1/2 rec players are generally very bad so can probs make it profitable if he can't fold decent Ax+.

Pre I could be wrong but any 2 suited for this price seems alright.

Also, not sure how everyone feels about this, but being readless, ime, most people that are middle of the pack to speak here out of 6-7 villains are not leading flop with FD's...they're x/c'ing them, occasionally x/r'ing the big combo draws like KTcc, KQcc and the like.

His raise turn range contains a higher % of flushes than % of his flop betting range that is FD's, almost certainly, but people don't raise/fold the turn much, and given what I said about the not betting many FD's otf thing, I'm wondering if at least considering putting a 3rd bet in is insane.

Anyway I thought for a while and called. River Js. Pot ~260. x/f, b/f small-ish, x/decide based on sizing?

Check. (And probably fold to the bet to that river card).

Terrible river card. If we assume his turn range is mostly 2 pair+, he now either has a boat or a bigger flush.

I'm not putting out a blocker bet here -- not enough reads for it at these stakes.

Give him a touch of Hollywood, then check and plan to fold to any non-trivial bet.
