Hero: 100bb, table is LAG, just sitting waiting for a hands to play. Table way overvalues top pair, ect. Hero hasn't gotten out of line

V: just took down a $1k pot with a 7 high flush. Calls any suited cards, plays any Ace, I don't think he knows what a kicker is.

V makes it 12 utg+2
Hero directly to his left flats with AJo
two callers (weak passive, small stack and non threats)

Flop: A74r, V leads for 25. Hero call, two folds
Turn: 9, V leads for 45. Call
River: K. V thinks about betting, checks. Hero ???

I feel like since he can play any ace that there are a lot of two pairs in his range, as well as ****ty aces. I don't put him on a better A, but the low cards did bother me.

I considered betting 1/3-1/2 pot but wasn't sure how I would respond to a raise

I might Iso 3-bet as AJo in EP OOP vs the rest of the table is going to be tough to play.

What's his opening range?

River is an easy value bet.

$100 river bet and watch as he calls weaker Ax.

But it depends entirely on his opening utg range whether we can bet here.

his opening range is 22+, any suited cards, any Ace. He doesn't take position in account

I decided not to 3! based on the players behind, weak players that will call a preflop bet but almost always fold on the flop unless they flop the nuts. They each had about ~30bb.

I would still 3-bet pre for value if he is really raising that wide. River you can bet/fold for around $100. Two pair doesn't check the river too often.

What's more profitable playing AJo oop vs 3+ Villains or playing a bad player who's too loose IP heads up?

Good point. I have a hard time playing AJ/AT. I guess I was trying to avoid TPGK but in this sort of situation, knowing what he opens with, I should have 3!

Aj and at become harder to play as your opponents get better and more aggressive, so you're not alone in being uncomfortable with these hands.

However, if you are trying to avoid tp/gk, then you shouldn't be playing these hands at all because that's what you're going to get a lot of the time.

Fwiw, I'm folding at a lot more than I used to in many situations. It's just not hand that wins big pots usually.
