Just sat down 1/2. Eff stacks 200.

V limps utg, hero raises to 10 utg2 w AhKd, folds to v who calls.

Flop (13): 6s 2c 4d

V checks, i bet 15, he calls

Turn (43): Qh

V checks, i bet 35, he calls.

River (113): Ts

V checks, i shove 130.

Thoughts?

Flop pot should be $23, yes?

I'm done with hand after he calls the barrel OTT.

Ya 23. My bad.

Thought mid pps and big overs peel flop bet. On river, i think those mid pps and AQ fold to a shove.

Maybe it was spewey. Just wondering if its ever a +ev line in a vacuum.

This is what i get for only playing plo now. So bored playing 1/2 now.

This will work some of the time. It will get picked off enough that it is generally bad. The occasional two pair+ by villain or villain who actually reads your bluff are not the problem. With no read on villain, you will run into stations or villains who put everybody on AK too often. This will result in getting picked off with garbage single pairs too often for this to be profitable long term.

Agree Garick, I think my mistake is not shutting down on river, given that i dont have accurate reads of what V peels flop with.

His c/c/c line just seemed really weak.

First, what are you doing playing NLHE instead of PLO?

Second, this is TOTALLY read-dependent. I'd say it's probably 70% given what I assume is the makeup of your table that you should expect a call, making this a -EV river play.
