1/2 kk vs new player

Villain buys in for 100bb. Asian kid early 20s, looks uncomfortable and a bit confused. First hand he has played, less than a full orbit.

Hero 190bb

Villain raises to 10 from hijack, button calls, hero makes it 27 from bb w/ khkd

Villain thinks for 20-30 secs messing with his chips and calls, button folds

Flop 9s8s4x

Hero bets 45, villain shoves fairly quick.

Make your 3 bet more to about $35-$40....and call V's all-in.

See plenty of fish call the 3 bet in hopes an A doesn't come out and then shove here with TT-QQ, AKs. You're only worried about 99 here IMO....without more specific info on V, we simply should never be folding here.

Re: 1/2 kk vs new player

Preflop wasn't big enough. Against an unknown at least $35 from the blind after a raise and call and probably more.

Flop isn't a happy situation but call.

He could easily have an overpair to the board. Possibly a flush draw with overs.

For his range I gave him {77+, AKs, and QKs}

You're about a 61% favorite against this range.

Folding here would be a mistake. Without any reads on villain I'm going to have to make the call.

"Should have played those Kings Mike."

Way too small especially OOP and with a call.
At least $35 here.

Bet/call flop your way ahead of range, especially reads you have given.

3bet more preflop - easy $36-42 Ahead of range on flop for it to be +EV

Just because he won the hand doesn't mean he made a profitable play. Buy yourself something nice with those Sklansky bucks.
