Villain (button, stack ~$400) has been raising several pots with loose preflop range. Hero has observed villain raising pf with J8s, KTo, A-x, regardless of position or number of limpers, he's also raised with solid hands like large pocket pairs.

Hero (utg, stack ~$350) - TAG decent winner in this game.

Hero KK - calls $2 (with plan to reraise)
UTG + 2 - calls
MP - calls
Villain - raises to $12
BB - calls

Hero - Reraises to $50, folds to villain who tank calls, BB folds.

Flop A83r ($117)

Hero? Interested in how many people would check vs. bet here. Limp-rr pf, usually is 'announcing' AA/KK/AK. Check could either indicate KK fearing the ace, or a monster trapping.

Very villain/history/image dependent situation. How wide is his calling range in this situation and what sorts of hands does he call with?

If I think this hand will be checked down if hero checks then I prefer a check. If villain is calling wide preflop but will give up if he missed then bet. If villain is likely to turn aggro with both made hands and bluffs if hero checks then I would rather bet. If villain think you are likely to trap with AA then check/call flop and see what villain does on turn is good.

Generically I prefer a check.

i don't hate a cbet here heads up. After that it's a shutdown though barring a K on the turn/river

if limp reraising defines your hand that accurately in your games why are you doing it? Unless you can raise to a committing amount or are doing it with a wider range in order to bluff it seems you'd be better off just raising rather than allowing your opponents to play pretty much perfectly against you.

Check your whole range here. Betting only folds out worse and allows only Ax or sets to continue.

Not my range necessarily, I'm more apt to make this move wider if I feel it will take down the pot, but in this particular room there are several regs who I've seen only make this move with QQ+. In this case I knew villain was raising with lots of hands and wanted to take initiative and put more money in the pot with what I was 100% sure was the best hand. Was planning on cbetting pretty much any flop, except one with an Ace (which came like magic.)
