Hero: $240HJ TAG 50ish white male

V1:$130 SB Passive. 50ish white male
V2:$650 UTG+1 30ish white male. Tight but hitting a lot of flops and aggressive when he does. He's won 3 big pots at show down. One of which was against V1 earlier.

Hero has: K8

6 people to a limped pot

Flop KQ8

V1 bets $15, BB folds, V2 $50
One more caller folds

Hero?

I'd make it 15 pre over a couple of limps, but I'm ok with the overlimp. Many would just fold and that's ok too. AP you can elect to just get this one in - it's a limped pot which usually requires something stronger to stack off, but you do really well blocking value and there are a ton of hands that aren't KQ that V2 can raise/iso v1.

Calling the $50 is about 20% of our stack, are we prepared to stack off on any non-spade turn?

Yes, V2 might be doing this with Axss - it's a limped pot, it could be any two spades.

If we think that's a reasonable possibility, are we prepared to stack off now?

We collect V2's equity if we push him off hands that could draw to beat us.

Limp pre is just awful strategy. Should play blackjack you'll get better odds. As played who cares don't limp.

I folded. V1 shoved,V2 called. V1 had AQ and V2 had KQ . the turn and river were bricks

V2 won the pot

The fact that you folded on the flop after you hit top and bottom pair due to pressure tells you all you need to know about why you should have folded pf. I don't like playing hands that can only make 1 card straights and draw to non-nut flushes. If you are going to play them, you want to raise pf.

Really, if you're not playing K8s in position a limped pot, then what are you playing? I'd much rather play that then something like 97s. It plays pretty much the same as A9s-A6s. Which is to say, pretty easy. It should be profitable as long as you can let go of top pair and hand read.

To me, this situation is pretty simple. Either he only raises w/ two pair + and we fold or he raises w/ a variety of hands, most of which we are ahead of and we raise and go with it.

This is kind of results-oriented imo. If there’s a bet and a raise in front of you, it’s different from if there was a bet and three callers.
