Hey guys, long time lurker - been reading since 2004, online player from 04-05, live since 2009 at various casinos, cardrooms, and private games. Been working on the game a lot away from the table - want to start posting hands here for feedback.

This might be too simple of a hand - but its my first one so bare with me!

V1 just sat down about an hour ago. Raising standard $12 each time, regardless of position, and hasnt 3 bet once. cBets 70% of boards. and shuts down if called and he hasnt hit flop/turn. $180 in stack. UTG.

V2 CO - sat down 30 min ago. passive. calling station. nice guy. no other reads. $160 in stack.

Hero's image: Probably TAG - winning player. Sitting on $1300 been playing about 8 hours, this is towards the end of my session. probably a bit tighter than average because i'm not talking as much as i usually do. Not sure either of these players even care about my image as they seem very recreational.

OTTH:

UTG Opens to $12. Folds around to CO who calls. I'm on Button, I call with JT

Flop: J98 $33

UTG bets $30. CO Calls. I raise all in.

(i didn't really stop and think about combos, which I'm trying to do more often, to slow my game down and help with fast math in tough spots.)

Instead, I naturally felt it was at worst a 45/55 spot, at best a 60/40 and thought with $93 in there it was the move to make.

Are we ever flatting here?

Stack sizes are great for shoving. I guess, you can call if he only has better and you have 0 fold equity.

I don't think that's the case.

Preflop: Given your reads a call is fine. Just make sure your reads are as accurate as you think they are.

Flop: Good. Your implied odds aren't as good as they might seem here because if you hit your straight or make trip Js it will be obvious to everyone. A will slow down the action too. Just get it in now and take full advantage of your large pot equity.

Just my opinion...

Almost in the exact situation last night.

I have JT spades on button..early position short stack opens for 12, call, call, and I call on button. I have everyone covered. Flop comes J 9 7 r. Original raiser bets 25, call, fold, I call. Q on turn...check, check, I make it 80..all fold.

Thanks for feedback.

Reads - as accurate as they could be. Since I was less talkative (this was playground and I don't speak French) I was concentrating as much as possible on players and their play.

Definitely figured my straight on turn would have slowed play down so I decided to ship.

Both called.

V1 tables aj and ends up dragging the pot.

V2 orders a molson and large poutine and rebuys

I fold pre. We're not deep enough to call such a large raise with a hand like this.

As play flop shove is fine.
