Straddler: Huge fish in the game that is there for action and isn't afraid to lose 1-2k in a night playing 1/2. Will def float me oop wide

caller: older gentleman, tighter ABC

1/2 NL 9 handed
I play in games where the max pot limit is $800 regardless of how many people are in the hand

Straddler: $400+
Hero: $400+
caller: $400+

preflop, straddle for $10, folds to hero who raises to $25 in MP with KJ, caller to hero's direct left, straddler calls

flop($78):842
straddler checks, hero bets $40, both call

turn($198):842Q
straddler checks, hero checks, caller checks

river($198):842QJ:spa de:
straddler checks, hero...

I know the straddler is calling really really wide on the flop
I think the turn might be a decent card to barrel, but I don't know if both villains are folding.
9T is the only draw that gets there on the river, but I think I can value bet this, if so, how much, or are you checking?

T9 should be there about never.
No one is calling that flop with T9 unless you have a stupid bad image and they think they are lol adjusting by calling down with stupid hands on the flop.

I think you J here is best 85%+ of the time. A8, 98, T8 are all likely canidates for hands they hold. I might be something like $45.

Esp since I don't really expect either to ck/rs bluff or rs bluff. So, if we get raised here it's a turbo speed muck.

With a (****ing awesome) $10 straddle in play from a huge fish, I would be popping it to $35-$40, expecting to isolate him more frequently than I will with $25. This sets up an SPR of 4.5 when just he calls, or 3 when another comes along, both of which I like a lot with this hand IP.

As played the flop c-bet is fine, but when called in both spots barreling the turn seems like a poor idea. I'm glad you didn't.

The river value bet is pretty thin, but if fish can have J9, JT, J7 in addition to 8x, go for it. $85-$90. I expect OG would have bet the turn when checked to with Qx.

I agree that them showing up with 9T is gonna be rare, but remember that the straddler is going to be calling really wide. That's why my cbet is pretty questionable.

If I bet the turn and get called by the straddler, what if a 5 comes on the river, bomb that too?
