I would hate that option because I would have committed 60 BBs or 40 percent of your stack.

Would be much easier if u had been at the table an hour prior

Folding is wrong imo. Even in the AQs+, JJ+ range, you are still ahead most of the time even if both of them are in that range.

I admit, just sitting down though, it is difficult to shove, which is really the only option if you raise, and I might wimp out and just call in a live setting because I'm not "good" yet. With that said, I know deep down the shove is the right play. The other player with a stack will probably lay down most of the time giving you heads up against the short stack. If he calls, you still have equity in the hand.

Summary: Shove and rebuy if he has aces.

I might flat pre but not because i'm afraid of aces.

Please let this be a level?
1. If this is the worst information you've ever read, you probably haven't read much.

2. Buying in for 75-100 big blinds isn't short.

3. Not sure exactly how -EV it is, please give me the number.

4. Expected Value.

5. What does nittiness/brokeness have to do with anything?

6. There's a huge difference between $150 and $2000, this should be obvious. Against anyone who is not blind, it would be a mistake to get $2000 in preflop with Kings in a 1/2 game.

7. It pretty much proves my point that I'm right, since he folded. He handicapped himself by having too much in front of him.

8. If he knew everyone and bought in for $300 for a specific reason, it would be much different. That was not the case though.

9. Thanks for playing!

I'm saying it's like this. The deep stack raise to you is essentially 20 (50 for sort stack, 20 for you). Nobody live willingly allows big, multiway pots with a PF all-in. Parx IMO exacerbates this very predictably. Call and expect a check, maybe action.

wow, folding kings as a default in that situation. well played, sir.

So do we have results or what?

Why would you EVER handicap yourself by buying into a game for less than max? If you pick up a monster on your first hand you are gonna be sick or beaten. I like the idea of a blocker min raise to see the flop -no ace, FISTPUMP SHOVE HIGH 5 THE DEALER ! ACE KING NO GOOD!
