I have found that playing against old guy nits is a fun easy going way to practice playing the right way and have a steady climb of chips.
However eventually a LAG sits at the table, sees what i've been doing and immediately targets me. In the past this is where a lot of variance would come into play. My question is how do people react to this? Move to another table? just play them with only strong hands? Lately i've been taking the later route but am I missing out by not mixing it up with these guys? Thoughts?
To maximize profit at those tables u can't avoid lags. At llsnl tho, 90% of so called lags are lagtards and will just bluff way too often. Call them down a lot lighter, make super thin value bets against them, bluff them off their marginal hands and u will take them off their game and hopefully tilt them lol.
Playing against nits is such a slow boring way to make money. Yes u will profit and consistently with little variance but u won't make nearly as much as at other tables. Playing against calling stations and/or lagtards is the way to go
I guess I am including the calling stations with the lag tards.
I feel like my style of play and my overall presence tends to eventually get more action from the normal nits and calling stations. However with the lagtards the variance sky rockets. Just wondering how much people think playing against these villains is worth it?
