Uncapped 1/2
Hero winning image being up 700€ in 3 hours. Playing lots of hands because of good cards and running good. People having a lot of respect and avoid playing hands with me. Stack 1.1k.

Villain mid 20s tight thinking player that likes to bluff in position when people show weakness. Also tries to steal IP by raising big when lots of people limp. But overall tight. Stack 250€

Villain raises utg 8€, 2 caller, hero in sb makes it 50€ with QQ. Villain thinks for 20 sec and makes it 160€ with 90€ behind.

I talked with friends about folding JJ in 1/2 vs 4bets because you are always behind against that range but i think it is the same for QQ.

What are your thoughts?

This seems like a close spot, but ime live low stakes players' 4 betting ranges at around 100-150 bb are basically AK, KK+. So I don't mind a fold. But depends on reads and player tendencies as well that will make me more confident one way or the other. All in all I'm ok with leaning more towards a fold here since he opened UTG and if you are perceived to have been playing solid and usually strong hands. If he's perceptive he should know you shouldn't be getting out of line that often from the sb vs an UTG open.

Though at higher stakes where people tend to be more gambly and do alot more things in these spots I'm almost never folding QQ.

Depends on read but against a lot of 1/2 villains I fold this.

A big question is have you been squeezing? If you have been squeezing a lot then villain's range may be opened up. If you have not then villain's range is likely something like AK/QQ+ and you can fold. Equity does make this close and if you open villain's range up any further or put any bluffs in his range then shove is better.

My experience at 1/2 is that it isn't worth trying to pick off bluffs from tight players. A lot will play for 8 hours and make 1 bluff and show that one play.

Yea u should have reads on villain, have u 3bet somebody before? Also is very important his size bets, u said he try to still limpers by raising a lot, so that incline that mostly in his range is AK
If u put top range in pokerstove KK,AA,AK
Your QQ will have 37% equity and you should put 200 more for pot ~520 , i dont know how much is rake but u should pay about 39-40% of general pot, so calling is slighly negotive vs top range. If you think he can have hands weaker it is insta call

In the orbit before this hand i reraised two hands in a row. I 4b a guy on tilt. A guy raised to 7, the tilt guy 3b to 22 with a stack of 75, i 4b in sb to 75 and only tilt guy called with JTs and lost vs my AQs.
The very next hand i get AQs again in same suit and squeezed otb and took a guy that called with A9o to valuetown. But i won both at showdown. So i dont think villain thought im FOS. But maybe he thought im using my image to squeeze lite...

You have 40% equity against KK+/AK (this is the correct number, friedrice88's 37% figure is mistaken), which is enough to jam profitably.
