Playing 1/2 NLHE

Hero's stack is $110
Dealt A2 in the SB
7 players in the pot, including Hero who completes.
Pot is $14

Villain has open limped from EP. He is a middle-aged asian guy. Has only sat down at the table in the last few hands.

Flop comes 4A3
Hero leads for $10
Two callers, including Villain. Pot is $34

Board on the Turn is 4A35
Hero leads for $25. $74 behind
Villain insta shoves AI. He has us covered. Other player folds.

Would you fold or call?

Definitely too short to consider folding. Plus 62 shouldn’t be in an EP V’s range. I guess 67s could be but just never ever folding for these $ amounts.

V could have sets, A’s up, K2s, all kinds of stuff. Easy call.

Thanks for the feedback. Would you have done anything different in Hero's shoes up to this point?

I could take or leave the flop lead. Some time lead, some times check. Once you decide to play the hand with a $110 stack it plays itself to a certain degree. Certainly on the turn no one should advocate for a fold to a shove for an EP limper this short. If it was a blind maybe a discussion makes sense but even then this short, i’m Never folding. Just got coolered I think.

Why would you always check this flop? Surely leading with a bet will help you figure out where you are at?

Otherwise how are you going to play this if you check and then others bet? You can't really check call to the river (unless you improve to the straight). And check raising doesn't seem right either.

Easy call of the raise given stacks.

I generally check this flop though I don't hate leading.

I don't bet to find out where I'm at. Apart from anything else, where are we at if we get called? Are we ahead? Are we behind? Who knows but I just threw in some money to find out, seems like I wasted that money then right?

Checking doesn't mean your hands get nailed to the table and the floor takes over your cards, forcibly making you check-call to the river. It's OK to check, and play some poker.
