SB: €70 (supertight)
HERO: €400(-ish) (creative tag)
VILLAIN: €400(-ish) (good lag, regular)

Hero straddles €4, Villain UTG opens to €18, SB calls, Hero calls with T8.
Flop TxT6
SB instajams, Hero calls, Villain calls. POT=€212
Turn: 5x
Hero checks, Villain bets €110.

Now I know Villain absolutely has a hand, as he wouldn't bluf into a dry sidepot. I put his range down to JJ+, 9T-AT. Knowing that, now what? I thought about this for a minute and gave myself two options:
1) checkjam the turn.
2) checkcall the turn and then shove the river.
Both options I could do with a combodraw and Villain knows this.
I excluded checkcalling from my options on purpose as Villain is never betting the river with just an overpair.

Which is the better option?

As played call and check to v and allow bluffs on river.

Villain has no bluffs on the river.

OP if you were deeper it becomes a decision tree on how often your x/jam gets called ott vs how often a donk jam gets called otr.

A donk jam otr does look much more bluffy.

Also, you have to factor in how many scare cards hit the river.

As played though you're gonna have $200 bucks left, I would just ship the turn.

I meant to say bluff catches.

C/jam looks like a ten too much to jam there so you jam all rivers except maybe we can c/f diamonds in a nut shell.

Villain's overcall is pretty strong. I probably bet the turn to setup a river shove. He's almost never folding to a ~$100 bet. As played, he bet himself and you should CRAI. Straightforward stuff.

I think the preflop call is terrible. You're oop against a PFR who should have a strong range, even for a LAG. You're not deep enough to make this call and I would only make it in position. The presence of a short stack makes a fold easier. He just called about 1/4 of his stack. He's pretty committed. Suited one-gappers play better over multiple streets and that's not going to happen. You need to hit the flop pretty hard to continue postflop, which rarely occurs.

You did not play this hand like a 'creative TAG'. You played it loose-passively. I question your playing style self assessment.

As played, I would just shove the turn. So little left, quite a few scare cards on river (mainly for V, but for H, too), just gii now and if he folds, he folds. If you are beat, nothing you can do.
