Hello friends. Play a hand with me.

Live 1/2 casino game with standard opponents that are a bit too loose. Nobody is too out of line.

Hero: $250
V1: $230
V2: $500
V3: $250

Players fold to Hero in middle position with 8 8. Hero raises to $12.

V1 calls in the cutoff. V2 calls on the button. V3 calls in the Big Blind.

Pot (not factoring in rake): $49.

Flop: J 9 8

V3 (Big Blind) checks. Hero?

I am betting the flop, fairly large 3/4-full pot, to charge the draws. If they call, re evaluate the turn depending on card. You still have 10 outs to fill up.

I'm betting pot here. This completely smacks their calling range. With a raise we obviously shove. Shoving most turns.

Here is how the rest of the hand played out. Discussion still welcome.

On the flop, Hero bets $40. V1 (cutoff) calls. V2 and V3 fold.

Pot going to turn: $124 after rake. Effective stacks are now $178.

Turn: 6

Remaining action:

Spoiler:
Hero bets $105. Villain raises his remaining $73. Hero calls. Villain has Q 10 for a flopped straight.

River and result:

Spoiler:
3. Villain wins pot of ~$480.
