$1/2 NL at MGM Springfield. Effective stacks approx. $200.

Villain: Mid-late 20's white guy. Playing a ton of hands. Previously called a $70 pre-flop 3-bet with 33. Noticed him bet/fold on flop a few times. Stack is approx. $900.

OTTH:

Hero ($200): 88 in EP. Raise to $10. MP calls. Villain calls.

Pot $33
Flop: 8

Hero bets $20. MP folds. Villain calls.

Pot $73
Turn 7

Hero bets $60. I am basically committing myself here with almost half my stack in the pot.

Villain shoves.

Pot: $243
Hero ?

Is this a snap-call or is this possibly a fold?

It’s a snap and then see if you can sneak a few blacks onto your stack to up your effective size. Then, when no one is looking, add a few more blacks.

If villain had showed you the 9To would you have called the turn jam? You have ~$110 behind into $290 so call $110 to scoop $400.... if i’m Mathing right you only need to be ahead of 1-2 combos for the call to make sense.

I think the 2.5x overbet is not going to get much action. If villain is calling with T9o and peeling flop with a gutter + second pair draw a whole lot of his range can't put in much money on the turn.
