Villain ($900): 40ish WG, decent 1/2 thinking player who can read hands a little. Can be aggressive at times but by no means aggro.

Hero ($800): 30ish WG, probably a true TAG image to V and we've played together a few times.

OTTH... V opens $10 in HJ, Hero calls in CO w/ 67 and SB calls.

Flop ($30): 58J SB checks, V bets $15, Hero raises to $50, SB folds, V calls.

Turn ($130): 58J Q V checks, Hero bets $100. V calls.

River ($330): 58J QQ V checks, hero?

Thoughts on all streets appreciated.

Bigger OTF. Pot is $60 with your call, and you just made it $35 more. A little over a half-pot bet.

Turn is fine.

Will V fold a J to a third barrel? If so, I go $200-250. If not, I go a bit smaller to only target his draws. $150-175.

For me the flop is fine. H is repping set on a "wettish" board against an uncapped V with sb still in the hand.

I'm OK with Turn bet by H, which says to V: "I have your overpair or TPTK beat". If I'm the V, I'm not overjoyed to be in this situation even with AA/KK and with the AcAx or KcKx, I'm not loving life because it's even less likely H is on a flush draw.

On the river, our story is we have a full house. The problem of course is that the V has some AQ/KQ/QJ and some slow-played JJ in his range here. So the Q is a bad card for H. 21 combos beat us vs. 12 AA/KK he can lay down. I don't think any AK got this far except AcKc.

Unless I've seen this guy make laydowns before, I'm hoisting the white flag here. If you're feeling bluffy, perhaps a value bet of 2/3 psb repping a boat might work better than some polarized overbet against a thinking V with a fold button. I just don't think the combinatorics favor a bluff here.

Think we can add AJ and KJ to his "lay down" range that could have made it to river. I think I like about 1/2 pot bet here - Looks like we're trying to get value and is +EV with a relatively low fold probability.

Turn seems quite bad, he has every QQ/109s and every Axcc. You’re ip take the free card. I dont expect people to fold KK/AA here either

River pretty ugh, Q gives him a lot of two pair and more likely to hero down. Being so low in our range tho and not blocking any Axcc probably gotta go for it, but waving white flag is fine and id just default to that unless i think V has a fold button which he probably doesnt on this river

I'd surrender as played. River card is better for V than Hero.

Turn - I'd take a pass to the river. Over pairs likely not folding and big club draws may have picked up equity (AcKc/AcQc/AcTc/KcQc).

Pre is good. I go a bit bigger on the flop. Turn is fine.

I, too, pass on the river. He's way more unlikely to fold an over-pair now.
