Game seems to be fairly easy to navigate with post flop decisions after a couple of orbits. Lots of stationy play thus far, both pre and post flop with many multiway streets. No solid reads on individual tendencies.

Hero ($215) UTG limp A4hh.
1 other limp, then to cutoff who raises to 10.
Button and BB call, Hero calls and other limper calls.

Flop (~$50) KQ4hxx

Checks to other limper who bets $15.
Cutoff and button calls.

Are you ever floating here? At what stack depth?

I just raise suited aces typically, but limp/call isnt awful or anything.

This wouldn't be a float, floating happens heads up and involves calling without any pairs, usually in position.

This is a thin call, even if the ace is no good you have around 14% equity vs typical hands and are calling for ~13.5% of the pot. You'll probably over-realize if you do hit a hand. If an ace turns you'll need to be very careful though, given the flop action it's dubious anyone has AK, but AQ and JT are clear possibilities.

I don't mind preflop limp if the table is passive and stationary. It's thin because flush draws play so much better with position but it's not bad. Fold to the raise the suited A-rag don't get good flops that often.

As played, give up on the flop. Exactly because aces may be dirty there are few cards you want to see on the turn and most of them just improve you to a draw.

I'm really not a fan of limping utg, but I would suggest of you have a limp re-raise range, which you should if you limp at all, then I think that a4s should absolutely be used as a l/rr bluff.....premium 3bet bluff hand.... Perfect opportunity here in my view....
Flop is a fold Imo, yeah Im pretty sure if we fight hard enough we can take this pot down, but tbh I feel like the risk reward just isn't there....if you raise the flop, you are going to get one caller and we are stuck then having to bomb the turn on good cards and bad cards for what is starting to become an expensive bluff....
Or we can 'float' not strictly a float but what ever....and see what happens on the turn, again problem here is that we now have to bet if checked to, against villans who you describe as stationary, and who are much more likely to improve than we are......
Save your monies Imo and stick with the lower variance option here, yeah it's probably +eV to get creative here, but I don't feel the pay off is enough to warrant the chunks of cash it will take to get this done.

You should be more disinclined to float in a MW pot with calling stations. The idea of floating is to take away the pot from the table on the turn as the villain gives up betting. You're at a table where people don't give up their hands and in this case, three people already have interest in the pot. Without a FD on the board, at least one of them has a straight draw. That means either an ace on the turn is going to be dirty or it is busy in someone else's hand.

I'm just curious though. If A4s is a good limp in the UTG position, what is your range on the button? That's a question for everyone.

I don't mind limping UTG vs. certain tables, and calling the $10 after limping is fine.

I give up now, though. Hoping for a 4 or a heart and a cheap turn. Not really worth it unless we are much deeper and have a good read on villains and their post-flop play. Not worth it vs. stationy players because you have to hit, but then it usually works pretty well

I'll ask a subsequent question on l/rr.... Do you guys that use it, have a bluff l/rr range?

I don't really use it. The problem is that there isn't enough value range to cover your other limps. Sure, you can do it with AA and maybe KK. So that's less than 2% of the time when you are opening a hand. At a 10 person table, you're opening a hand maybe 6 times an hour. That means at best you'll have a value l/rr once every 8 hours or so. So basically if I'm up against a limper, I know they have a weak hand and can raise with impunity. If I see someone l/rr a second time, I know they are bull****ting and can just come over the top.
