1/2 flop bottom set on WET board

1/2

Hero: $200 SB Asian/ African American female in her 20s. she is new to the table, only raised once prior to this in an orbit. Seen as tight

V1: ~$115- $150 BB Asian male. This his 1st hand. At the time, I eyeballed his chips and based my play by thinking he only had $115. However, a player later told me it looked like he had $150.

V2: ~$60 UTG Black Male. This man is also a regular. He usually adds alot of action to the pot when he is drinking but he didnt look like he was in the mood to be aggressive today.

V3~ $55 BTN older lady. She is a nit post flop.

6 limpers

Hero makes it $13 with 10 10

4 callers

Flop $56

10 J Q

Hero???

$50/GII, imo. Even if someone l/c'ed AK, you have a ton of outs. Meanwhile they should have something worth paying you with on this board.

Re: 1/2 flop bottom set on WET board

So there's $12 of limped dead money in the pot plus the SB and BB makes $15, we are out of position with a strong hand and raise to $13? This is way too small in my opinion. Standard limp calling 1/2 regs will pile on and we will be stuck playing multi way with the worst position. I'm happy to take down the $15 in the pot pre here. I'd make it $22-30. As played I bet 40 and call any raise. Only one player has enough to make any real raise anyway and we should have heard from AK and higher sets pre flop. We will run into some K9 and 89 and draws but we certainly aren't folding with these stack depths.

If we were opening the pot with no limpers $13-ish is fine. For each limp add $2, add another $2 for being OOP. This should give you a better ballpark for sizing pre in live 1/2.

Re: 1/2 flop bottom set on WET board

As a default at 1/2, I would go 6BB + 1BB per limper. I'm typically sizing up from that, but with the shallow stacks that's proably fine here. So $24. I'd like to be able to re-open the action as well if there's a 3! shove from a shortstack following our raise.

I would CRAI. I highly doubt this will check through 5 ways since people overplay their hands on dynamic flops. If I'm betting I'm overbet/GII. You can't really screw this hand up at this stack depth.

On an unrelated note, I would table change if that's a viable option. The presence of multiple shortstacks not only hurt your winrate by default (unless they're spewing) but will make preflop/flop much harder to navigate with the middling parts of your range.

PSB and try not to turn 9/K/A

I might get a count of the shortest shortie if it's ~pot and bet exactly that amount.

I agree with people saying bet larger pre, and just jam the flop (which will be more reasonable with the bigger pre-flop bet).

1) if no one knows you, I doubt you have much image. Bad players donít really notice after an orbit. Good players know you couldíve just hit a run of poor cards.

2) special stack sizes at this table

3) wow way too small pre. Firstly this is 1/2, so open sizes can get wacky already (a lot of people use larger sizes in unentered pots). Secondly, thereís 6 limpers (!). My 2/5 default is (4+# limpers) bb, or $20 here. Since itís 1/2 and they just call like crazy, I might even make it $30 for them to take.

4) pot it and stick the rest in on any turn that isnít 9, K or A. 8 is also meh.

Edit: missed we are OOP. OOP Iíd do (6+# limpers) to really make it unappealing to call. So $24 by default. And itís 1/2 so $30 really sounds attractive.
